A chi ha Netflix consiglio, per il momento, la serie Stranger Things. Sono al terzo episodio e devo dire che é stata una sorpresa: ne ho visto la pubblicitá su youtube e subito ho capito che dovevo guardarla, e per il momento mi ha davvero preso.
Invece io consiglio Wentworth, che mi aveva suggerito Metamorfo diverso tempo fa ma che sono riuscita a recuperare solo adesso. E' una serie australiana ambientata in un carcere femminile, un po' stile Orange is the new black quindi, ma meno comedy.
La prima stagione mi è piaciuta moltissimo, ora sono alla 2x05 e la seconda si sta dimostrando allo stesso livello.
Siamo alla 10 della quarta stagione, quindi potrai vederla ancora per un pò.
Rimanendo nel genere carcere femminile, c'è anche una serie spagnola che pare sia all'altezza: Vis a vis (io ancora non l'ho cominciata).

Devo associarmi a Manifredde. Stranger Things è davvero una serie notevole. Ho guardato i primi episodi, e mi ha preso fin da subito. Posso solo consigliarla.
Mi associo. Stranger Things è favolosa, un ritorno agli anni '80 con un misto di King e Spielberg.

l'ambientazione e in parte la storia ricordano molto King, mentre la regia e soprattutto i personaggi mi hanno subito ricordato lo Spielberg degli anni 80 
verissimo. stranger things sembra un tributo agli anni ottanta. Un miscuglio tra ET, IT, con un pizzico di twin peaks....
ho finito di guardare la serie (purtroppo di soli otto episodi). Spero ci sarà una seconda stagione...

Secondo me decisamente no.
Annibale (a parte metterlo con i "barbari" vabbé) dopo le Alpi si ritrova a Canne, esemplificano troppo e parti noiosissime le espandono all'infinito.

Annibale (a parte metterlo con i "barbari" vabbé)
I Romani usavano il termine barbarus per indicare chiunque non appartenesse alla loro civiltà (o a quella greca), non a caso è attestato l'uso del termine da parte di autori latini anche in riferimento a Fenici e Cartaginesi. Un po' come i Greci che definivano 'barbari' i Persiani e gli Egiziani, nonostante fossero a momenti più civilizzati di loro. Quindi in un'ottica 'storica' includere Annibale tra i barbari non è affatto errato.
Comunque, la serie è sostanzialmente un documentario inframmezzato da scene recitate. Ho visto le prime due puntate e ho trovato la parte di Annibale fatta davvero male, a livello di gestione dei tempi: battaglie e operazioni militari raccontate sbrigativamente, l'unica narrata nel dettaglio è Cannae mentre su Trebbia, Ticino, Trasimeno e persino Zama si spendono due parole appena, un sacco di tempo se ne va via dietro scene evitabili o comunque troppo lunghe di Annibale coi barbari (il capo dei Lusitani è interpretato dall'attore che fa Brynden Tully xD). Persino la vita del condottiero post-Zama è liquidata in due minuti. Sugli altri condottieri trattati fino al punto che ho visto (Viriato, Spartaco, Arminio) sembrano concentrarsi pure su parti irrilevanti e noiosissime (e temo pure inventate o comunque romanzate) e poco sui fatti storici realmente importanti, battaglie in primis. E ovviamente, come dice Lochlann, semplificano molto.
Altra cosa che mi dà fastidio è che rappresentino i Romani sotto una luce troppo cattiva, manco fossero il Terzo Reich dell'età antica. Va bene che lo scopo della serie è raccontare la storia dei loro avversari, ma speravo che una rappresentazione così 'manichea' (Romani cattivi, vili e bastardi vs. non-Romani buoni e difensori della libertà) fosse confinata a prodotti di puro intrattenimento come Spartacus, non a documentari di History.
Qualcuno ha dato una chance a minority report? Vale la pena iniziarla?

Terminato ieri Stranger things e devo dire che trattasi di una serie davvero interessante. La scelta di ambientarlo negli anni 80 e di girarlo come se fosse quella l'epoca di realizzazione credo abbiamo un considerabile impatto sul risultato finale.
Serie che mi sento sicuramente di consigliare.
Assolutamente affascinato da Better Call Saul, la consiglio vivamente (anche per chi non ha visto breaking bad, non è affatto necessario avere conoscenze di partenza), e spero che la terza stagione non si faccia aspettare troppo. Non mi pronuncerò troppo su penny dreadful, che nonostante le premesse delle prime due stagioni è finita (a mio avviso) in modo MOOOOOLTO campato per aria, con buchi di sceneggiatura che ti fanno rimpiangere le peggio cose di DD 
... boh.
Ho visto i primi due episodi di Dead of Summer, aria di mistero un po' Lostiana, non mi dispiace, però tutta la storia teen-agerosa può piacere e non piacere. Sto rivalutando completamente una serie di vampiri che in passato senza assolutamente informarmi avevo preso per la solita storiella amorosa in stile Twilight: True Blood. Ha dei bassi verso le ultime stagioni, ma le prime sono fantastiche. La conoscete?

Io appena posso guarderò l'ultimo episodio di Billions. Avevo iniziato la serie come riempitivo (e perchè mi piace demian lewis come attore, ero curioso di vederlo in quella parte) ma devo dire che è molto piacevole e merita un sacco. Ovviamente se vi interessano le serie con poca azione e che si addentrano nei misteri della finanza e della giustizia americana :P
Stranger things lo guarderò dalla settimana prossima! :)
