Temo che si sia dato la zappa sui piedi. Forse era meglio limitarsi a parlare del perché e del percome alcune cose della seconda stagione non sono andate per il verso giusto, anziché avventurarsi a parlare del futuro ipotetico, con tanto di spoiler dei libri, pur ammettendo di non averne discusso a sufficienza con Condal.

Tu hai tirato in ballo D&D, a cui Martin non ha rivolto gli stessi apprezzamenti della prima stagione di Hotd. Il silenzio e l'indifferenza di Martin post stagione 5 di Got secondo te sono segno di apprezzamento? Forse sono peggio del post di oggi.

Sicuramente Martin ha avuto i suoi problemi con le ultime stagioni di GoT, ma evidentemente per motivi che sa solo lui considera più fastidiosi i problemi attuali.
Ad ogni modo questa situazione è molto fastidiosa.
Alla fine quelli che ci rimettono siamo noi, che abbiamo un Martin di pessimo umore (e quindi si presume ancora meno incline a scrivere), e serie di qualità inferiore a quella che potrebbe essere.

Preciso che con "ferri corti" mi riferisco a un dissidio professionale, non umano. Questo vale sia per Condal che per D&D. Non mi risulta che GRRM abbia smesso di avere un rapporto amichevole con D&D nonostante disse che "non stavano seguendo il suo piano". (cit.) e nonostante le presunte critiche velate a GOT presenti in F&B.

Secondo te perché Martin non si è esposto così tanto su Got? Forse esporsi come oggi significava fare spoiler pesanti su TWOW/ADOS (che ancora non sono usciti, a differenza di F&B). Ok che ormai si perdono le speranze, ma fare spoiler dei libri sul blog anche no. È evidente che Martin sta avendo delle divergenze anche con il team di Hotd, ma dire che sicuramente è più arrabbiato ora solo per il post di oggi mi pare eccessivo (in ottica libri le due situazioni non sono paragonabili, F&B è uscito da anni e Martin può essere amareggiato solo per l'adattamento, non per altro).

Basta pensare alla pubblicazione di un capitolo inedito di Alayne di TWOW qualche giorno dopo la messa in onda dell'episodio della quinta stagione dove Sansa si reca al Nord per sposare Ramsey

Esatto, ma oggi con Hotd ha sicuramente le mani più libere e può parlare di tutte le implicazioni legate al taglio di Maelor. Con Arya che uccide il NK o Bran che diventa re avrebbe potuto fare lo stesso? No, perché avrebbe dovuto spoilerare molte più cose dei libri e forse Hbo non lo avrebbe neanche consentito (così come forse lo ha invitato a cancellare il post di oggi).

Beh, D&D erano le due teste del drago (con la terza Cogman), esattamente il 20 maggio 2019, nel suo post "An ending".
Peraltro l'intero post più che accusare sembra quasi giustificare il finale, esaminando le difficoltà del medium tv rispetto al medium libri.
Non sono così convinto che George odi così tanto il finale come il fandom crede. Dopotutto, che piaccia o meno, quello è in gran parte il suo finale. Sicuramente lo ha intristito, perchè è normale che sia così. Nessuno poteva mai fare un finale migliore di quello che nella sua testa sarà nei libri.
Sicuramente ha avuto screzi con D&D, perchè no.
Sicuramente ci sono tante cose che non gli sono piaciute delle ultime stagioni, perchè anche questo è normale (io ad esempio ho apprezzato per diversi motivi l'ultima stagione, superato lo sbandamento iniziale, eppure di critiche ne ho quante volete).
Eppure li ha ringraziati, le due teste del drago, esattamente il giorno "After eight epic seasons".
Poi, si può tranquillamente discutere se il suo post era semplice gentilezza, peggio ancora contratto scritto con HBO, oppure magari semplicemente 5 anni dopo George ha deciso di non mandarle più a dire perchè si. Chi lo sa.
Ad ogni modo siamo OT, se vogliamo discuterne in maniera pacata magari ci sono altre discussioni più idonee.

Può essere che ora Martin si senta più libero di fare certe critiche, ma il contratto con Hbo non si può ignorare (e questo ci può dare la prospettiva sui post che ha fatto dopo la stagione 8, dopotutto Got nel complesso resta una serie che ha cambiato la TV e ha contribuito alla fama della saga). Il fatto che il post di oggi sia magicamente sparito forse ci fa capire che Martin, anche volendo, non potrebbe dire "Hbo ha fatto un pessimo lavoro" o sparare a zero sulle cose che non gli piacciono. Comunque da una parte io sono pure contento se Martin va in rottura totale con Hotd o altre serie, magari è la volta buona che fa uscire nuovi libri, concentrandosi su quelli.
