Martin says he can’t say anything beyond this. But sources say Martin and Condal’s relationship deteriorated further and came to a head during a Zoom call with the show’s producers and some HBO executives. The purpose of the call was for Condal to present his vision for season three. After Condal spoke, Martin detailed his many objections and allegedly declared, “This is not my story any longer.”
Condal didn’t comment for this profile but pointed to a statement he gave to EW last year: “I made every effort to include George in the adaptation process. I really did. … But at some point, he just became unwilling to acknowledge the practical issues at hand in a reasonable way .. I just have to keep marching forward for the sake of the crew, the cast, and for HBO, because that’s my job … I can only hope that George and I can rediscover that harmony someday.”
After their contentious Zoom call, HBO asked Martin to step back from Dragon altogether. A few months later, the author was brought back aboard. “I can’t talk about it,” Martin says.
“George and Ryan had a disagreement on the direction of season three,” an HBO insider says. “At that point, it was clear that the process and communication with them was broken and needed a reset. So there was naturally a period where everyone took a step back for a while until we could figure out a new way forward.”

Prima di quanto pensiamo? Ricordo male o era uscita una sorta di foto promo con la scritta summer 2026?
Non è che ci sia tutto questo margine di anticipazione, alla fine da agosto a giugno cambia poco.
Comunque sono sincero, sono molto curioso di questa terza stagione: avrebbe le carte in regola per essere una roba straordinaria, e spero tantissimo che siano riusciti a ritrovare una quadra.
Come possono ritrovare la quadra dopo aver distrutto qualsiasi cosa di minimamente interessante !?
Io la salto totalmente, la carriera di Condall deve finire qui .
Non lo so nemmeno io, magari qualcuno ai piani alti ha fatto il cazziatone a Condall e Hess.
Teoricamente dovrebbero succedere diversi eventi spettacolari, quindi almeno da quel punto di vista c'è speranza.
Alla fine la puntata di Rook's Rest è stata una bella puntata

So che chi conosce la trama a menadito e si aspetta assoluta fedeltà non sarà d'accordo, ma a me era piaciuta anche la stagione 2 (credo abbia almeno due tra le scene più epiche mai viste in un fantasy televisivo).
Condal e la HBO hanno commesso degli errori, ma la responsabilità del fatto che HOTD si stia distaccando dalla trama di F&B va attribuita anche a GRRM. È lui che ha sostenuto alcune variazioni che risalgono all'apprezzata prima stagione:

è platealemente vittima di una di quelle maledizioni da film horror anni 80 tipo racconti della cripta .
Era uno scrittore famoso e ha espresso il desiderio di avere di più , ha avuto i soldi ma le sue opere non sono più sue , e non riesce a finire le sue opere principali , morirà dimenticato perchè non ha finito la saga principale .
Spero di sbagliarmi(solo perchè voglio leggere sesto e settimo libro ) ma quandi vendi l'anima al diavolo va sempre cosi .
Zero interesse per Hotd , l'unico interesse potrebbe nascere dalle controversie , ma credo che ormai la gente si sia stancata pure di insultare questi attivisti narcisisti che devastano le storie

Fioccano le ipotesi sullo sdoppiamento: salto temporale, visione del futuro o altro?
