Ormainfaccio parte del partito "finché non vedo non vredo" basta false speranze
Due cose ho trovato interessanti:
La prima è che la frase che ha citato viene dalla Bibbia, Rivelazioni 18:10. Ovviamente "Valyria" nella Bibbia è "Babilonia", nemmeno a dirlo. Ho letto alcuni online ipotizzare che "18:10", ovvero "18 ottobre" o "ottobre 2018", possa essere un indizio. Ho i miei dubbi che si tratti di Winds of Winter, in occasione dell'esperienza "12 days for christmas" del 2014, Martin aveva scritto un post in cui sosteneva che non avrebbe mai fatto giochetti per gli annunci riguardanti il suo libro.
La seconda è che il post è stato pubblicato esattamente sei anni dopo la pubblicazione di ADWD, che potrebbe non significare nulla.
Quel che trovo estremamente misterioso, oltre al tag "enigmatic", è il fatto che abbia chiuso i commenti. E' una cosa che davvero fa raramente, deve essere qualcosa di grosso. Dubito che riguardi il nuovo libro, anche perché meno di una settimana fa ha scritto che non avrebbe partecipato alla sceneggiatura nessun episodio di Who Fears Death, perché troppo impegnato con TWOW, quindi avrebbe poco senso come coincidenza temporale. Detto questo, una parte di me, dopo 6 anni di attesa, non può fare a meno di cedere a un po' di speranza. Waiting for Giorgiot.

Mi sto convincendo sempre più che il prossimo libro uscirà dopo la fine dell'ultima serie TV. A tutti i lettori abituali si aggiungerebbero quelli che hanno visto solo la serie, orfani della loro saga preferita, allettati dalla possibilità che la storia sia diversa in tutto o in parte.
Anche perché la serie, ormai, è troppo orientata verso "quello che speriamo accada" e non verso "ora muore il tuo personaggio preferito". Sembra quasi che ci abbia fregati tutti, creando un copione con quello che i fan teorizzano/desiderano, per poi, alla fine di tutto, far uscire i suoi libri con Ramsey Snow re dei sette regni e Daenerys mangiata dai suoi draghi...
Resto del parere che il libro uscirà prima dell'ottava stagione (che uscirà nel 2019)..altrimenti non ci sarebbe alcuna spiegazione per questo ritardo..secondo me fanno uscire The Winds of Winter per evitare spoiler inevitabili dell'ottava stagione..penso...credo....suppongo......
Il libro uscirà appena sarà finito, di questo direi che possiamo essere abbastanza sicuri. Agli editori non passa neppure per la testa di tenereselo nel cassetto aspettando la tal stagione, la fine della serie o non so cos'altro.
Comunque segnalo che, dopo il misterioso post su Valyria dell'altro giorno, Martin ha disabilitato i commenti non solo sul post incriminato, ma in tutto il blog.
Starà lavorando alacremente.. 
Magari i commenti con la dicitura: ma quando esce AWOW ?? gli avranno rotto le scatole.. 
Ho visto anch'io che ha disabilitato i commenti. Qualunque cosa questo significhi ho quasi perso la speranza di vedere pubblicato il libro.

EDIT: avete notato che sono due o tre post che dice frasi tipo "potrei dirvelo, ma poi dovrei uccidervi"... chissà cosa vuol dire

Sarà un contentino, ma la notizia mi rallegra: the rogue prince e the princess and the queen mi erano piaciuti moltissimo, almeno per un'ora si può ingannare l'attesa di TWOW...
