Se riescono ad adattare bene la conquista di Westeros da parte di Aegon (magari citando il disastro di Valyria in modo da mantenere l'aura di mistero) e la Danza dei Draghi con tutto il connubio tra trama politica e guerra civile, sarò soddisfatto.
Riguardo gli abbagli stile D&D, credo e spero che abbiano imparato da quegli errori e impostino una trama generale un po' più coerente con sé stessa, e se lo fanno per me possono anche cambiare dettagli del libro. Della serie madre riprenderei sicuramente la cura tecnica nei costumi, fotografia, scenografia, effetti speciali ecc.
Ma la serie non è incentrata sulla Conquista, il focus è sul regno di Viserys I. Al massimo potrebbe esserci qualche flashback.

Ah ok, pensavo che F&B venisse adattato integralmente, non ho seguito gli aggiornamenti in modo attento come voi. Comunque forse fanno bene a concentrarsi solo sul regno di Viserys I perché, considerando la successiva Danza dei Draghi, è la parte più interessante del libro.
Sono d'accordo, oggettivamente la Conquista ha una trama abbastanza lineare, da quella si potrebbe ricavare al massimo una miniserie. La Danza dei Draghi, invece, è più simile alla Guerra dei Cinque Re.

Oltre al fatto che Martin sembra voler calzare molto sul collegamento prima Danza dei Draghi-Asoiaf.
Comunque per rispondere alla domanda: spero che Ryan Condal abbia sufficiente voce in capitolo e che eventuali cambiamenti non vadano ad intaccare più di tanto la storia generale. Ad esempio spoiler F&B
Se tagliano personaggi come Maelor o una delle due figlie di Daemon o qualche seme di drago, tipo mettono solo Hugh Martello e non pure Ulf il bianco, lo accetterei tranquillamente.
Basta che non puntino sulla riedizione della stagione 8 di Got, con i Targaryen metà pazzi metà sani.
Mi auguro che non cerchino di stravolgere la caratterizzazione dei personaggi principali...

Al momento non si sa ufficialmente, anche se qualche nome sta circolando: per esempio, si parla di un certo John Macmillan, il quale potrebbe essere Laenor Velaryon.

Finora ho visto giudizi positivi sul look di Rhaenyra e negativi su Daemon. Ad esempio, qualche commento che ho letto parla di un "cambio di passo" rispetto a GOT per quanto concerne i costumi femminili, mentre per i maschi si è rimasti indietro alle parrucche di Viserys e Rhaegar.

Anche io ho avuto questa impressione, però l' immagine di Rhaenyra da sola sulla spiaggia è proprio azzeccata.
