Sinceramente non credo. GoT e ASOIAF sono due fenomeni mediatici separati, che procedono per la propria strada e con un singolare ritorno economico. D&D faranno i propri affari nel momento ritenuto più opportuno, Martin... Beh, non c'è bisogno di dire altro.
Il mio pronostico per TWOW rimane intorno a Maggio 2018.

@jon snow intendi che finisce di scrivere a maggio o che il libro esce a maggio? Per me , dati i suoi ritmi, minimo minimo nn finisce di scrivere prima del nuovo anno

anni fa io pensai una cosa adesso ne parlano tutti (o meglio qualcuno su internet lo dice) , per me i libri usciranno dopo la fine della serie ( o meglio dopo che venga redatta la sceneggiatura dell'ultima stagione , non per forza l'uscita televisiva)
il contesto :
nel 2014 George Martin e i produttori della serie ebbero una discussione finita non propriamente benissimo che portò alla scelta di 2 strade diverse , questo portò George a non dare più dello stretto necessario ai D&D e rimandare l'uscita del libro , anche perchè lo sta arricchendo di nuove cose a mio avviso
Da dire che la HBO stava dalla parte di George per il fatto di fare più stagioni aderenti ai libri (10-11) piuttosto che tagliare e per forza di cose costringere Martin ad uscire dal progetto.
Tutto questo per dire che il libro (per me non è escluso the winds of winter sia l'ultimo ) esce nel 2018 ,e che George ha seriamente ricominciato a scrivere a fine 2014 inizio 2015 .

Se wow sarà il volume conclusivo uscirà fuori da almeno 2000-2500 o più pagine, francamente non credo sia possibile che la casa editrice accetti di farlo uscire così, lo dividerebbe in due.
Impossibile che TWOW sia l'ultimo libro. Anzi, c'è il forte rischio che neanche ADOS sarà l'ultimo
