Infatti a me è sempre sembrato strano che tutta la trama di Euron in Winds si focalizzasse su Oldtown e basta. La teoria che sale sull'Alta Torre e suona il corno è interessante, ma mi pare strano che rimanga fermo nella stessa zona per tutto il libro.
Oppure, come suggeriva qualcuno, è il povero Sam che suonerà il corno per fermare Euron facendo scoppiare il patacrac.

Se il crollo avverrà a metà libro, cosa potrebbe avvenire nel finale? Sacrificio di Shireen che quindi in questo scenario avverrebbe dopo e non prima la fine della Barriera? Sbarco di Daenerys a Westeros mentre Approdo è già in mano a Aegon che ha ottenuto il sostegno dei Tyrell? Un altro attacco selvaggio di Euron presso qualche altra zona di Westeros? Ho difficoltà a immaginarlo.

Sicuramente Martin deve essere bravo a bilanciare gli eventi senza farne un mappazzone senza ne capo ne coda. Da qualche parte ho letto che Martin scrisse le Nozze Viola nello stesso libro delle Nozze Rosse per bilanciare le sensazioni dei lettori, qui potrebbe fare lo stesso con il dualismo estranei-umani. Magari la parte iniziale verrà incentrata sui protagonisti che saldano i conti in sospeso per poi finire con la barriera che crolla e tutto va a Strade della Seta, magari con l'epilogo con un personaggio particolarmente importante che prova a fermare l'avanzata degli estranei morendo (coff coff, qualche cervo che passava li per caso). Bisognerà vedere in quanto tempo è ambientato TWOW, a che punto sono le storyline temporalmente, se Euron vuole prendere OldTown e suonare il corno sopra la Torre o da altre parti,...
Va considerato anche che Daenerys al momento è in pantano dal quale non può uscire in 2 capitoli e via, altrimenti si rischia l'effetto serie TV. Ma certo inserire il suo arrivo a Westeros a metà libro non creerebbe chissà che momento topico. Anche a fine libro però porrebbe problemi di rilevanza narrativa.
Tutto sommato credo che Martin dovrà affrettare molte cose.
E' sempre un dispiacere che quando tutti i lupi dovrebbero sollevarsi, un posto possa rimanere vuoto.

Non credo che Daenerys riuscirà a chiudere il suo arco a Essos prima della fine di TWOW. Per questo sono sempre dell'idea che con due libri la storia non può essere conclusa.

La situazione Estranei sarà sicuramente più complicata dopo il crollo della Barriera. Se il sacrificio sarà legato a questa minaccia, può anche essere che avvenga dopo il crollo. Però non escludo che avvenga prima.
