La pagina twitter di Waterstones ha messo online una lettera di Martin del 1993 in cui spiega al suo editore il piano per realizzare una nuova trilogia fantasy.... A Game of Thrones. A Song of Ice and Fire 
Ci sono dettagli abbastanza estesi sulla trama, è evidente che molte cose non avverranno mai ma non possiamo del tutto escludere che ci siano degli spoiler. Quindi leggete a vostro rischio e pericolo!

Ci sono informazioni abbastanza dettagliate, ma alcune sono talmente assurde da non essere chiaramente più contemplate; però non è da escludere in via di principio che alcune possano risultare vere. Inoltre una parte è stata oscurata... forse perchè contiene un pezzo fondamentale? Comunque sia leggere potrebbe essere un rischio, io l'ho fatto e in linea di massima credo che poco o nulla di quanto letto accadrà nei prossimi libri.

Mi ero perso la parte in cui Dany
uccide Khal Drogo per vendicare la morte di Viserys impadronendosi poi del khalasar :O

alla fine l'ha ucciso sul serio quindi va beh, ma la versione dark Daenerys è bellissima <3 <3

Riguardo alla pagina 1
Secondo me è molto interessante la struttura dei 3 grandi conflitti:
il primo lo abbiamo già visto. Stark vs Lannister
il secondo o è diventato la Battaglia delle Acque Nere, oppure (cosa che ritengo più probabile) sarà la futura Danza dei Draghi di Aegon e Dany.
il terzo è la battagliona finale contro gli Estranei in cui quasi tutte le trame e i personaggi confluiranno!! Credo che questo punto non sia cambiato in questi 20 anni.
Mi soffermerei sulle parole usate per descrivere gli Estranei: li chiama demoni, inumani, con un esercito di non-morti e mai-nati... quest'ultimo dettaglio mi ha fatto pensare ai neonati di Craster!
Beh, quel "true parentage" di Jon che verrà svelato nell'ultimo libro potrebbe confermare tutte le nostre teorie. A meno che Martin non ci abbia trollato per tutto il tempo.

Inoltre è nella rosa dei 5 personaggi principali della trilogia: questo mi fa ben sperare che lo rivedremo vivo in TWOW!
Con una trama del genere probabilmente questo libro non l'avrei mai comprato
