Secondo me molta di questa tensione potrebbe essere evitata semplicemente coinvolgendoci, rendendoci partecipi dei progressi, dei problemi, delle cose che lo bloccano ecc ecc.

Gli basterebbe fare stile Brandon Sanderson che nella sua homepage mette le percentuali dello stato dei suoi lavori. L'ho sempre giudicata una trovata interessante. Il problema di Martin è che scrive ancora su un programma del 1987 che gira su DOS e inoltre non credo sia in grado, almeno per TWOW e quello che riguarda le cronache, di capire a che punto sia effettivamente arrivato

However, an insider told Fandom Pulse the thirteen-years-late book actually was finished in 2016 during the filming of season 6 of A Game Of Thrones. The insider, who we confirmed worked in the publishing industry at big companies, said that they have spoken with editors at both Spectra and Voyager, who are Martin’s publishers in the United Kingdom and the United States, to confirm this, with both having a similar story.
According to the source, Martin was forced by Warner Bros. to give HBO producers D. B. Weiss and David Benioff the ending to the show as early as season 4’s pre-production, which they needed to be able to foreshadow and work on the ending for the TV show iteration.
Apparently, the producers thought the ending was not a satisfying one, which led to a falling out between Martin and them. As much as fans blame the producers for moving from the source material for the last couple of seasons for the ending, it may have been the ending Martin intended for the book series all along.
As far as The Winds of Winter novel goes, it is said to have been turned in completely to Martin's editorial prior to A Game of Thrones being filmed. After the reaction from the producers, Martin is said to have gotten cold feet and pulled back the manuscript right before it was getting typeset.
The rest, as we know, is history. Fan reaction to seasons 7 and 8 of A Game of Thrones was dismal. While the producers got the blame, apparently, they followed Martin's storyline's original ending, and when Martin saw how poorly fans reacted, he wanted to rewrite it as something else in hopes that his book series could end on a note readers would actually enjoy. Unfortunately, the level of negative fan reaction to what he already wrote spooked him, which caused him to stop writing almost entirely, and this is the reason for his constant lack of work on the property. He's been paralyzed by fan reaction.

È uno ricostruzione che nasconde delle verità ma inventa totalmente le conclusioni.
Martin non lascia i due idioti per i loro commenti sul finale , ma per i cambiamenti e la non trasposizione dei libri 4 e 5 , le uniche cose rivelate da Martin sono le famose 3+1 , che possiamo tranquillamente dire trasposte fuori contesto .
La cosa dove l'articolo sbaglia in maniera più palese è la reazione di Martin alla ricezione di Got nelle ultime stagioni.
È al contrario,Martin non ha scritto una parola fra fine 2015 e fine 2019 , è solo grazie al fallimento di Got e ovviamente al COVID che Martin riprende a scrivere e nonostante tutto potrebbe persino riuscire a finire la saga (dipende tutto da winds per vari fattori) .
Martin non si è bloccato a causa della ricezione di Got , si è sbloccato grazie agli insulti dei fans verso i due idioti .

Una riga soltanto ti c'è voluto per inventare le tue conclusioni.
Per carità, plausibili, ma sempre inventate. Se poi fosse così avrebbero comunque avuto ragione D&D, visto che adattare correttamente i libri 4 e 5 avrebbe imposto di conoscere come evolve la storia non sono per i personaggi principali, ma anche per le sottotrame secondarie.
Cioè, voglio dire, ma vi siete mai chiesti se GoT durante la quarta stagione avesse mandato Brienne a spasso, introdotto Lady Stoneheart, Young Griff ecc ecc? Un disastro inenarrabile, una roba talmente fuori da ogni logica che è incredibile che venga anche solo proposta. Sarebbe già stato molto complicato farlo con dei libri già scritti, figuriamoci senza.
All'incirca 10 anni dopo, comunque, su quel fronte nessuna novità, e probabilmente D&D si staranno dicendo: meno male non abbiamo ascoltato Martin, almeno GoT lo abbiamo finito (e con un successo incredibile lungo il corso di tutte e 8 le stagioni. Un finale complicato non inficia niente di tutto ciò, lo testimonia il fatto che GoT è ancora presente nella cultura popolare 6 anni dopo, il numero degli streaming, del merchandise venduto ecc ecc).
Tutto questo naturalmente tralasciando come funziona il medium televisivo, perchè qua sembra che si possano fare stagioni infinite con infiniti personaggi per infiniti anni.

Conoscendo GRRM, se avesse avuto davvero TWOW pronto per la stampa nel 2016, l'avrebbe pubblicato subito per contrastare D&D.

Una cosa c'è da dirla, sicuramente visto che aveva promesso l'uscita in pochi mesi doveva trovarsi ad un ottimo punto. Poi è successo qualcosa che deve averlo fatto ricominciare praticamente da capo.
Voglio dire, non dici che tra pochi mesi hai finito se non hai scritto quasi tutto. A meno che tu non stia palesemente mentendo
