Dipende da House of the dragon: se quella floppa, abortiranno l'intero GOT Universe.
Se farà successo, potrebbero andare anche con D&E, anche se presto si ritroverebbero senza il materiale letterario.
Visto il materiale a disposizione, non mi sembra che possa avere un senso ( a differenza della Danza e Hotd ). A meno che, una volte superate le novelle, si accontentino delle informazioni ricavabili da TWOIAF ( che però sono molto generali ).

Martin ha idee precise sulle novelle che seguirebbero le prime tre. La quarta e la quinta sono già abbozzate e ben dettagliate, ed ha idee specifiche su altre quattro. Tutte e nove hanno già anche un titolo.
Al limite, farebbero come con GOT: partono con la base dei libri e se fa successo fanno andare avanti la storia con le idee di Martin e il resto inventato dallo showrunner.

Il lato positivo è che, almeno così, GRRM darà una conclusione (ma non un finale, piccola ma grande differenza) all'universo narrativo di ASOIAF, anziché lasciarlo eternamente incompiuto. Speriamo che questi spinoff vengano gestiti meglio della serie madre.

Questa su Jon Snow è una notizia bomba, che apre anche alla possibilità di mettere su una storia che sia d'apripista a sequel vero e proprio di tutto GOT, attendiamo ulteriori notizie.
Sono curioso di sapere se sarà una storia completamente nuova oppure legata agli eventi dell'ottava stagione. Qualcosa legata agli estranei che magari non sono stati completamente annientati o magari a un Verme Grigio che lo va a cercare per vendicarsi.
