Gli ascolti di House of the Dragon sono in costante crescita, e anche il quinto episodio è stato visto da più pubblico rispetto alla settimana scorsa.
L’episodio ha avuto un aumento del 3% nel pubblico degli Stati uniti e ben il 4% di quello mondiale. Nielsen ha conteggiato le visualizzazioni totali, ovvero 2.576 milioni di spettatori dalla messa in onda della quinta puntata.
La cosa bella della serie è che più che un prequel di GOT è palesemente un prequel di ASOIAF.
Basti pensare alle numerose chicche per i lettori messe via via negli episodi.
Mi viene in mente la vecchia che
chiede a Rhaenyra se vuol sapere come morirà
e subito dopo viene mostrato, ma chiaramente i non lettori non la possono capire.
Oppure l'albero di limoni dipinto sul muro nella scena in cui Larys Strong parla di quei fiori Braavosiani che non dovrebbero crescere ad Approdo, quella è una citazione ad una teoria, che solo i lettori possono capire.
Si hanno notizie su quando inizieranno le riprese della seconda stagione?
Ho un piccolo dubbio sulla timeline.
Dando per scontato che segua quella dei libri, Viserys dovrebbe diventare re nel 103. Quindi il primo episodio dovrebbe svolgersi nel 112-113...... poi nel terzo si va avanti di due anni, quindi ora dovremmo essere nel 114-115.
Poi avanti di altri 10 e dovremmo essere nel 124-5.
Ma in FeB viene detto che gli Strong, Laena e
Laenor
muoiono nel 120....
Senza contare che
Viserys muore nel 129 quindi in teoria dovrebbero mancare solo 3-4 anni.....mi sembra un po poco per far si che Aegon il giovane e Viserys siano abbastanza grandi da poter fuggire dalla Triarchia o i figli di Alicent e Rahenyra possano affrontarsi in battaglia....
Basandomi sui riferimenti temporali presenti nella serie, e postulando che Rhaenyra sia nata nel 97 e che Viserys sia salito al trono nel 103 come in F&B, i primi due episodi sono ambientati nel 112, il terzo nel 115, il quarto e il quinto nel 116 e il sesto nel 126.
Come avevo detto in un precedente commento, secondo me man mano che si va avanti le date risultano sfalsate rispetto a quelle dei libri. Credo ci sarà un altro salto temporale di alcuni anni dopo il settimo episodio, per cui la guerra non comincerà nel 129 del canone originale ma più tardi.
Questo a meno che il regno di Viserys non sia iniziato direttamente nel 101 e Rhaenyra sia nata nel 95: in tal caso dovremmo sottrarre un paio d'anni alle date precedenti e, dopo un parziale sfalsamento, le due cronologie potrebbero riallinearsi.

In effetti si, noto inoltre che sulla wiki di GOT non sono nemmeno riportate le date....
Quindi, dando per scontato che Viserys sia diventato re nel 101 il primo episodio dovrebbe svolgersi nel 110-111...... poi nel terzo si va avanti di due anni, quindi ora dovremmo essere nel 112-113.
Poi avanti di altri 10 e dovremmo essere nel 122-123.
Potrebbe starci.
Non si mettono a seguire una cronologia precisa, ci sono esigenze di scrittura e pratiche che, giustamente, hanno la precedenza.
O forse perchè hanno scombussolato un po le età dei personaggi per motivi di trama (es Rhaenyra e Alicent coetanee).
