Beh a tarda serata qualche sigla di cartone animato la mettevano nelle discoteche. Mi ricordo Lupin, Drangonball, per cui ci stava anche l'uomo tigre!
Comunque non essendo certo un habituè non saprei dire se era solo un Dj incapace XD

Ho scoperto Al Petteway perchè si occupa di fare le recensioni con video per un negozio di chitarre americano che si chiama Dreamguitars. Ovviamente non fa solo quello . ps. se volete comprare una chitarra presso dreamguitars procuratevi almeno 5000 dollari..
Da qualche giorno ho in mente questa canzone che non ascoltavo da un po': Decay dei Ride. Rispolvero un po' di shoegaze.
Anche il testo, per quanto sia stupidino, è abbastanza originale:

Questo pomeriggio, per un motivo o per l'altro, mentre ero immerso nei miei studi, mi è venuta di colpo voglia di riascoltare un vecchio album. Un album, peraltro, al quale sono molto legato.
La sesta traccia è anche la mia canzone del giorno. Ne propongo una versione un po' particolare, eseguita durante un concerto a Modena nel '76.

Mi è spesso capitato, nel corso del tempo, che una canzone "mutasse" di significato. Questo è uno di quei casi.
La mia canzone del giorno è una tipica power ballad: chitarra acustica sul verso, distorsione nel ritornello. L'assolo finale è molto bello, anche se tutto sommato breve. Brano di uno dei gruppi musicali più influenti di sempre.
Testo struggente, musica altrettanto.

Il prossimo 28 aprile uscirà il nono album del progetto Aeryon di Arjen Lucassen.....ed io l'ho appena ordinato 
Il ritornello mi ricorda vagamente "The Age of Shadows", splendido pezzo contenuto nell'altrettanto splendido album del 2008, 01011001; ed anche questa volta si porta dietro il solito carrozzone di mega-ospiti tra cui l'immancabile James LaBrie (Arjen ha un vero debole per lui..), Hansi Kursch, Russen Allen, Simon Simmons, Floor Jensen e, new-entry di quest'anno, Tobias Sammet....solo per citare alcuni cantanti......Alle chitarre soliste si segnala la presenza di un certo Paul Gilbert 
, esecutore dell'assolo finale di questa Star of Sirrah.
Stasera mi sono ritrovata a guardare questo video: l'avevo visto per la prima volta ben dieci anni fa e a quel tempo mi dicevo fermamente che non avrei matto quelle follie, Ovviamente un decennio dopo ho fatto quello e pure di peggio... Non me ne pento, ma ora non lo farei più. Ma c'è parecchia nostalgia
