Se ha così tanta voglia di scrivere per Hotd, direi che può farlo tranquillamente. La cosa non potrà comunque portargli via un tempo paragonabile a quello trascorso dall' uscita di ADWD, tempo che evidentemente non ha gestito bene.

In realtà già lo scorso novembre aveva ripetuto "sono impegnato con Winds", però è dal 2020 che non fa più aggiornamenti un po' articolati specificando Pov utilizzati o numero dei capitoli scritti, solo aggiornamenti super generici.
"Kind of busy" con una decina di cose non dice niente di buono. Sarebbe stato meglio kind of busy col solo TWOW, anche se ormai sarebbe dura avere fiducia in ogni caso

Se avesse creato alla media di 1/3 di pagina al giorno (che sono 10 righe di cartella editoriale), nei 10 anni e 10 mesi da quando ha finito ADWD, avrebbe 1300 pagine pubblicabili e TWOW sarebbe già pubblicato.
Chissà quanto meno di 10 righe. Potrebbero essere anche la metà.
Poi c'è Stephen King, che alla stessa età scrive 10 pagine di romanzo (300 righe) al giorno.

Va anche detto che King ha scritto molti capolavori ma anche moltissimi lavori dimenticabili. Ovviamente con questo non intendo giustificare la lentezza da bradipo di Martin, dovuta ai fattori di cui discutiamo da anni (anzi, da decenni): diciamo che un scrittore che come qualità e velocità di scrittura fosse una via di mezzo tra Martin e King sarebbe secondo me perfetto.

se ogni giorno avesse scritto lo stesso numero di parole presenti nel tuo post, avrebbe completo l'equivalente di AFFC
