@King GliceSì è un problema di tutti gli autori che pubblicano testi ricchi di dettagli e trame intricate senza pianificare prima (anche se personalmente non me ne vengono in mente altri), ma appunto qui si parla di Martin e ci si chiedeva se mai finirá e il motivo di tanti ritardi. Ovviamente per pigrizia e ignoranza ma purtroppo non tutti hanno ricevuto l'apparizione della madonna di Westeros che ha rivelato il sacro verbo.
E' sempre un dispiacere che quando tutti i lupi dovrebbero sollevarsi, un posto possa rimanere vuoto.

Secondo me il motivo è quello. Pianifica la trama di capitolo in capitolo, ma evidentemente non s anemmeno lui come districarsi dalle diecimila sotto trame e mille personaggi inseriti.
Andand avanti con gli anni la trama dovrebbe snellirsi, non ingrossarsi.
La differenza fra le varie scuole di pensiero sta nel considerare o no il prossimo libro come il punto di svolta .
Per me si, si va chiudere , questo libro è il più difficile perché oltre ai suoi eventi conterrà le basi per quello dopo .
Io arrivo a pensare che non sia così messo male ma sia carente nella pianificazione in generale cosa che, insieme ad altre, col progredire dei libri e confluire delle linee narrative gli ha comportato problemi di gestione quindi la lunghezza dei tempi di scrittura e pure una certa pesantezza del lavoro da svolgere.
Ma probabilmente una simile ipotesi si deve solo al mio essere una mente semplice perciò non penso faccia testo.

Io parto sempre dall'assunto che sia così, se non fosse così per me la questione è chiusa e non c'è proprio storia.

Pensandoci bene, se Martin non ne avesse fatto alcun cenno non sarebbe cambiato molto. Potrebbero esserci chissà quanti altri "twist" inaspettati (per noi), che (lui) ha in testa da anni. O potrebbe essere meno shockante (per noi) di quanto pensi (lui). E in ogni caso, dubito coinvolga troppe decine di pagine (massimo massimo massimo un centinaio, su un libro di mille circa?) e personaggi di primo piano (Barristan, Mance, qualche Dothraki, boh ?)

Sì, è questo. Mi sembra di ricordare che Martin lo ha introdotto come ulteriore elemento di differenziazione da GoT, e questo potrebbe averlo rallentato in qualche modo.

Ci ho pensato e trovo quest'idea molto "cinematografica". Potrebbe starci in fondo. Certo se cadesse a metà libro ci sarebbe più tempo per sviluppare la guerra contro gli Estranei.
