Dando per scontato che GRRM non ne aggiunga altri, in TWOW avremo 20 POV (Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, Theon Greyjoy, Arianne Martell, Davos Seaworth, Barristan Selmy, Asha Greyjoy, Bran Stark, Jon Connington, Cersei Lannister, Victarion Greyjoy, Arya Stark, Areo Hotah, Jaime Lannister, Melisandre, Brienne Tarth, Samwell Tarly, Sansa Stark, Aeron Greyjoy).
Penso che moriranno sicuramente Arianne Martell, Barristan Selmy, Jon Connington, Cersei Lannister, Victarion Greyjoy, Areo Hotah, Aeron Greyjoy. In questo modo arriveremmo a un massimo di 13 per ADOS. Arrivare a soli 7 la vedo dura, chi altri dovrebbe essere tagliato?

Un pov per smettere di essere pov non ha bisogno di morire , Martin tende a non dare Pov a pretendenti e professionisti del gioco del trono ,o a toglierlo a chi vuole che nasconda reali intenzioni e personalità

Esatto. Quindi sfoltire e accorpare le linee narrative non vuol dire far crepare tutti i personaggi, mi pareva di aver capito comunque che Martin non vuole introdurre nuovi POV rispetto a quelli già utilizzati, sbaglio?
E' sempre un dispiacere che quando tutti i lupi dovrebbero sollevarsi, un posto possa rimanere vuoto.

Però, al netto di POV accoppati, sospesi, spostati, ci sono ancora eventi fondamentali da portare "fisicamente" all'interno della trama...primi fra tutti lo sbarco di Daenerys a westeros e la discesa degli estranei una volta valicata la barriera. Ora, anche prendendo per buono che ADOS possa essere dedicato esclusivamente allo sviluppo di queste trame, tutte le restanti storyline si potrebbero risolvere in un unico volume? Io stento molto a crederlo...
Secondo me non avrebbe senso far sparire un POV senza eliminare il personaggio collegato (salvo casi eccezionali come personaggi risorti). Un conto e mettere il POV "in pausa", un altro non riproporlo più: ogni POV è come un racconto a se stante che deve avere un inizio e una fine precisa.

prima una cosa e poi l'altra, poi secondo me gli estranei arrivano nell' epilogo di winds, Ma c'è chi pensa anche prima
No certo, intendo solo dire che preferirei avere un volume o due in più piuttosto che una storyline estranei, per fare un esempio, risolta come la famigerata serie tv.
3 volumi da 1000 pagine o meno ,o due da 1500 o più che cambia ?
Secondo me meno limiti di impaginazione gli mettono meglio è
Per quanto riguarda il numero di libri necessari a completare la saga, basta fare un semplice calcolo. in origine Martin voleva scrivere una trilogia:
1) il primo libro doveva esser incentrato sulla guerra Lannister-Stark
2) il secondo sull'invasione di Daenerys
3) il terzo sulla nuova Lunga Notte
Alla fine sia la trama del primo libro che quella del secondo si è dilatata occupandone tre a testa:
Prima fase della Guerra dei Cinque Re (circa 2500 pagine)
1) A Game of Thrones
2) A Clash of Kings
3) A Storm of Swords
Seconda fase del conflitto (3300 pagine previste, 1800 + 1500 previste di TWOW)
4) A Feast for Crows
5) A Dance with Dragons
6) The Winds of Winter
Sarà in grado GRRM di includere l'ultima parte della trilogia originale in un solo libro (A Dream of Spring) di 1500 pagine previste? Personalmente la vedo dura, potrebbe riuscirci se imprime una forte accelerazione alla storia, ad esempio se già a metà TWOW Euron fa crollare la Barriera suonando il famoso corno di Sam.

E io pure... da qui il mio grande scetticismo... o pigrizia secondo alcuni.

A questo punto, credo neppure consideri l'eventualità di un libro in più: vorrebbe automaticamente dire che la saga resterebbe incompiuta.
E per quanto Martin tenda ad essere ottimista, non c'è modo che anche lui non realizzi ciò (ricordiamoci che vuole assolutamente completare F&B e D&E).

Ma direi che sia un problema di tutti gli autori, non solo di Martin. Nel caso di Martin la cosa è più evidente perchè ha riempito la trama si sotto trame e personaggi che inevitabilmente gli sono esplosi in mano.
