Un Pov di Edd sarebbe bellissimo, ma lui lo vorrei sopravvissuto a tutto, lamentandosi di ciò ovviamente.

Premesso che tanto io non ne ho comprato mai neanche uno, ma anche se escono il giorno dopo uno quando si è stancato si è stancato quindi dubito gli importi qualcosa a quel punto
E' sempre un dispiacere che quando tutti i lupi dovrebbero sollevarsi, un posto possa rimanere vuoto.

Ben ritrovati. Certo che la totale mancanza di professionalità di costui lascia veramente senza parole più passano gli anni, Martin rimarrà un chiaro esempio di ciò che uno scrittore serio non deve diventare, questo a prescindere dalla qualità delle opere..
Confesso che non capisco il discorso dello stancarsi di aspettare l'uscita di un libro. Se, per esempio, il libro non dovesse uscire nel 2020 ma nel 2025, una persona non dovrebbe leggerlo perché Martin ci ha messo troppo tempo?
Io penso che una persona dovrebbe leggere TWOW se le piace la storia narrata da Martin e vuole sapere come va a finire, a prescindere dall'opinione personale che si può avere nei riguardi dello scrittore. Se Martin pubblica il libro e abbiamo piacere a leggerlo, buon per noi; se ASOIAF non ci piace non siamo obbligati a leggerlo; se Martin non pubblica più nulla, peggio per lui, faremo altro nella vita.

È un discorso legato all'eccessiva passionalità con cui si aspetta TWOW. In questo forum si è parlato anche di tanti altri libri e saghe, ma l'aspetto sullo "stancarsi" è una cosa che vedo solo per Martin.

Fermo restando che io adoro questi libri e verosimilmente mi leggerò i seguiti in qualsiasi momento usciranno, credo che dipenda un po' anche dalla struttura di questa saga: un finale così aperto come quello di ADwD crea un'hype molto elevata, che col passare del tempo rischia di essere frustrata. Fenomeno ancora più elevato immagino per chi ha conosciuto la saga tramite la serie tv, il cui interesse è facile sia scemato dopo aver visto il finale (bello o brutto che venga giudicato, non dico per quello).

Ma che c'entra? 
Almeno in pizzeria posso andare a lamentarmi con chi di dovere per l'attesa, non posso fare lo stesso con Martin; inoltre in pizzeria vado per mangiare in un dato momento, mentre quando inizio a leggere una saga letteraria in corso d'opera mi assumo il rischio che possa rimanere incompiuta.
Non voglio giustificare GRRM, è palese che sia stato irrispettoso nel confronti del fandom, avendo disatteso numerose scadenze da lui date (l'ultima sarà a fine giugno), però non capisco perché una persona dovrebbe smettere di apprezzare un'opera letteraria per colpa del comportamento del suo autore. Semmai dovrebbe smettere di apprezzarla perché l'opera non le piace più.

Guarda, a me i cliffhanger sono sempre piaciuti, quindi non mi ha dato fastidio il finale di ADWD. La critica che muovo a Martin riguarda la struttura sidequel degli ultimi due libri e il fatto che abbia voluto ridurre la lunghezza di AFFC. Al suo posto avrei allungato AFFC ad almeno mille pagine, inserendovi parte dei POV di Jon, Dany, Tyrion et cetera,mentre una parte dei POV di Cersei, Jaime et cetera l'avrei spostata in ADWD e avrei terminato il quinto libro con le due battaglie e alcuni POV che sono stati spostati in TWOW.

Non sono appassionato di cliffhanger, ma il problema è che se li fai secondo me poi devi dare soddisfazione in tempi brevi a chi fruisce dell'opera, altrimenti subentra la frustrazione
Col senno di poi sarebbe stato meglio un finale chiuso per ADWD, lasciando solo il destino di Jon come cliffhanger, anche perché così avrebbe avuto qualcosina in meno da scrivere per TWOW.
