L'ultimo scandalo che ha travolto Trump riguarda le sue idee sui soldati americani morti nelle varie guerre: per lui sono dei perdenti, sfigati, come tutti quelli che si sono fatti catturare o ammazzare.
Sicuramente lo aveva detto anche di George Bush (che era stato abbattuto dai giapponesi) e di McCain (catturato durante la guerra nel Vietnam).
Secondo giornali come il NYT e il WP (e perfino la corrispondente della FOX) diverse fonti vicine a Trump confermano che ha usato termini simili quando si era rifiutato di andare a visitare in Francia le tombe dei marines caduti durante la prima guerra mondiale.
Altra cosa che viene detto Trump continua a ripetere è che non capisce perchè i soldati vadano a farsi ammazzare in guerra, qual è il tornaconto per loro (anche questa idea rientrerebbe nella mentalità Trumpiana che ogni azione deve avere un tornaconto materiale).
Ovviamente Trump urla alla fake news.

È scemo, non riesco a spiegarmi altrimenti queste dichiarazioni. Oltretutto verso quella fascia di elettori-patrioti che gli fa numero ai seggi.
Quelle più pesanti sui marines e sui soldati in generale non sarebbero state dette pubblicamente.
E nonostante questo, c'è ancora chi lo sostiene.

Sono le nuove frontiere della propaganda. Dinamiche a cui la destra si dimostra spesso (ahimè) più attenta: non è un caso che la Meloni abbia di recente rispolverato il suo vecchio nomignolo di Meloni-chan, che sbandieri il suo bagaglio di cultura nerd e che spesso si faccia vedere in rassegne come il Romics.

Reddit è orientato quasi completamente dalla parte opposta. Facebook piuttosto, dove ci sono seguaci di varia natura, troll russi, estrema destra e popolazione varia (e dove c'erano i gruppi Qanon, recentemente bannati).

Ricordate la narrativa di Trump riguardante il fatto che la Cina aveva nascosto la pericolosità del virus, e quindi aveva sottostimato il virus per quel motivo?
Ora l'audio pubblicato dal Washington Post dimostra che a inizio Febbraio Trump già sapeva benissimo che il virus fosse varie volte più mortale dell'influenza e pericolosissimo, e perfino che si trasmetteva per via aerea, respirando le particelle.
