Come ha detto @Jacaerys Velaryon, Martin ne ha parlato in maniera esplicita quando uscì F&B. Poi sicuramente c'è di mezzo anche la volontà di far capire ai fan che la questione Lunga Notte non doveva essere risolta da Arya in quel modo.

Non credo che Martin avesse in mente quello scenario (i libri pubblicati non sembrano suggerirlo) e abbia detto a Condal di inserire il sogno di Aegon in Hotd per fare retromarcia.

Forse ho capito male, ma pensavo tu intendessi che Martin stia cambiando cose per distaccarsi dalla serie, modificando i piani originali. No hai capito bene, i contentini sarebbero dare dei regalini ai fan scontenti del finale di GoT attraverso gli altri media collegati. In questo caso continuare a cavalcare il malcontento dei fan per far avere successo a F&B inserendo persino profezie mai citate prima. Così uno corre a guardarsi la nuova serie (o leggersi il tal libro) perchè spera di vedere sconfessata la tal cosa.
Questo è un cambiamento (forse nemmeno molto sensato) rispetto ai libri eppure nessuno brontola. Perché i fan sono accontentati nelle loro aspettative.
Poi sì penso anche che Martin viste le reazioni isteriche dei fan per un certo finale qualcosina stia cercando di tamponarla,ma questo è un discorso che riguarda i libri non le serie TV.

Cambiamento rispetto a F&B ma non rispetto all'universo dei libri in generale, perché di quello ci mancano parecchie informazioni e un maestro della cittadella che scrive una cronaca storica (F&B) non avrebbe potuto avere un'informazione come quella sul sogno di Aegon. Inoltre già leggere F&B nel 2018, prima della stagione 8 e delle "rivolte" dei fan delusi, faceva capire quale fosse l'opinione di Martin sulle ultime stagioni, non si tratta di una novità in quel senso.
