62 minuti non è poco, dopotutto nel primo episodio ce ne sono di cose da raccontare. Chissà se la durata degli episodi successivi rimarrà questa o se diminuirà un poco (mi pare che di solito le puntate HBO sono di circa 50 minuti).

Il pilot è sempre l'episodio più lungo, comunque gli episodi dei telefilm HBO durano sempre intorno ai 50 minuti.

E' stata fatta da uno che non conosce il libro, e questo la rende interessante.
Per chi non ha voglia di leggere in inglese: l'opinione è positiva. Dice però che Drogo è il personaggio più piatto, mentre quello che sta trovando più riuscito per ora è Tyrion. La resa di Catelyn gli è piaciuta (lo evidenzio visto che molti erano dubbiosi su quell'attrice). Ha trovato le vicende degli Stark più interessanti di quelle di Dany.
Ha anche detto una cosa secondo me fondamentale: il primo episodio riesce a fare quello che molti telefilm non fanno, proponendo un'apertura piena di tensione e chiudendo con un cliffhanger che ti fa venire voglia di vedere cosa succederà dopo. Personalmente, credo che l'inizio e il finale siano le parti più importanti da rendere avvincenti, quindi il fatto che lo abbiano colpito mi fa ben sperare.
Poi in generale ha detto che si vede subito che i personaggi sono "umani", cioè grigi e fallibili, e che si tratta di una serie cruda e "per adulti". Ah, gli ha anche dato l'impressione di una serie molto incentrata sui personaggi, cioè sull'elemento umano, nonostante l'ampiezza della storia... e direi che anche questo è positivo.

Il personaggio, non l'attore. E in effetti Drogo non brilla di certo per complessità.
Buona recensione comunque, anche se avrei preferito qualche dettaglio in più sui personaggi.
