Difatti, era comunque compresa nel pacchetto degli spin off che credo fossero stati valutati tutti insieme a livello di accoglienza. E penso avessero anche fatto 2 pensieri su quello che doveva essere il materiale su cui si basava la serie. Anche se in effetti considerando come la Disney, e dico la Disney!, ha gestito i sequel di Star Wars senza neanche avere un’idea unitaria dietro i 3 film, quest’ultimo frangente è meno dirimente.

E' stato proprio il presidente della programmazione di HBO, Casey Bloys, ha confermarlo nel corso dell'evento ai microfoni di Deadline. "Arriverà nel corso del 2022, credo", parlando proprio della data della premiere del nuovo show. "Stanno iniziando a scriverlo proprio ora"

Sì sa come funziona nel mondo della tv: al pubblico si deve sempre mostrare un mondo bello e scintillante, e negare il resto.
Riguardo all'articolo postato da Ancagalon, Casey Bloys ci ha tenuto a togliere le responsabilità del fallimento alla Goldman e con quel "stanno iniziando a scriverlo ora" fa pensare che sono partiti dopo la chiusura di Bloodmoon, ma Martin, a inizio Novembre, ci ha fatto sapere che ci stavano già lavorando da mesi.
Non soltanto lui e Condal (che aveva pure già scritto lo script del pilot) ma anche altri tre scrittori.

Il fatto che abbiano assoldato altri scrittori, che per mesi (quindi prima ancora che fosse girato il pilot di Bloodmoon) abbiano lavorato ben più in profondità del pilot di House, ma sui singoli episodi della prima stagione e anche segnando la strada per quelle successive, fa capire molto dei reali programmi di HBO.
Ad ogni modo le tempistiche sembrano abbastanza dilatate, per cui ci sarà tutto il tempo per valutare.
Tra l'altro mi ricordano anche qualcosa come fenomeno, specie considerando la fonte della citazione

Bisogna dire che anche per quanto riguarda Bloodmoon le prime notizie di casting sono arrivate tre mesi dopo. Adesso sono passati due e mezzo, tra cui le vacanze di Natale. Mi aspetto qualcosa per Febbraio.
Per quanto riguarda Bloodmoon c'e un video intervista di Peterson (il linguista di GOT) dove parla del pilot mai trasmesso. Non riesco a postarlo ma lo riassumo per chi fosse interessato. SPOILER:
Egli afferma di aver lavorato a una lingua dei Figli della Foresta. Questa lingua esisteva già dalla sesta stagione di GOT, ma D&D hanno scelto di non utilizzarla. Aveva lavorato anche a una lingua degli Andali, in particolare al testo di una canzone per un matrimonio tra un capo dei Primi Uomini e una nobile Andala. Secondo lui l'idea base della serie era: I Figli della Foresta e i Primi Uomini vivevano in pace, quando sono arrivati gli Andali e hanno arrivato tutto. Il chè contraddice pesantemente non solo la timeline di TWOIAF, ma anche le parole del Fantasma di Cuore Alto in ASOS, che parla esplicitamente di strage dei Primi Uomini.

Premesso che non ho trovato alcuna fonte ufficiale (ma magari dipende da me 
), io ho appena letto che la serie "probabilmente non arriverà prima del 2022", che di fatto la scrittura è al "carissimo amico" e che non c'è ancora neppure uno "schedule" di produzione... Non prenderei quindi troppo alla lettera questa data di uscita.
