Giusto! ti è piaciuto come film? A me tanto nonostante le polemiche...
Alexander è un bel film, ce l'ho anche in dvd, ma dire che ha avuto scarso successo causa polemiche mi sembra un po' esagerato.
Io pensavo a qualche film più scandaloso.

Invece è stato proprio così

" /> ). Quando il film uscì in America fu accolto davvero malissimo, e la causa di questo fu il non nascondere l'amore tra Alessandro ed Efestione. Si fece anche il paragone con Troy (dove tanto per dirne una Patroclo è visto semplicemente come il cugino di Achille), film decisamente meno preciso e storicamente meno attendibile, ma che ebbe un successo ben superiore. Lo stesso regista e parte del (ottimo) cast ne furono sorpresi; Colin Farrel, che si era impegnato particolarmente nell'interpretare Alessandro, a seguito delle inutili speculazioni che vennero fatte sul film, affermò di essere entrato in depressione per diversi mesi...
Come si fa a determinare quanto una polemica sia in grado di far fallire un film?
Ci sono molti film "scandalo" che hanno successo (Brokeback Mountain, Fahreneit 9/11, Il codice Da Vinci) e altri che non hanno successo. Anzi al giorno d'oggi non so quanto la polemica sia effettivamente dannosa ad un film.

mah personalmente Alexander non mi è dispiaciuto, certo potevano ricostruire la parte militare un pò meglio e magari ampliarla, ma Stone ha deciso di privilegiare il lato "umano" a quello storico, scelta condivisibile per certi versi per non ripetere il solito "filmone" storico, però dato che del Macedone c'era poco o niente di fatto in precedenza, magari..
