Mi sembra chiaro che Jon ha una caratteristica che tutti gli altri non hanno: ha sangue degli Stark che presumibilmente hanno poteri metamorfoci e forse non solo quello, e sa gue Targaryen che pure ha un suo valore "magico". E dato che Rhaegar la mena con questa canzone del ghiaccio e del fuoco e pare che abbia concentrato tutta la sua vita su questa penso che la caratteristica sangue Stark (o nordico) + sangue Targaryen sia parecchio rilevante.
E' sempre un dispiacere che quando tutti i lupi dovrebbero sollevarsi, un posto possa rimanere vuoto.

Anche se non è azor ahai stannis resta comunque un bellissimo personaggio( sempre che poi martin non lo rovini...)

Ci sono vari indizi che indicano entrambi i personaggi, ma difficilmente Azor Ahai sarà Stannis, che è più un personaggio da finale tragico (e inoltre lo stesso Aemon Targaryen è scettico su Stannis).
Inoltre si dovrebbe considerare quello che riguarda Jon Snow nel finale di ADWD, che può essere interpretato come un ulteriore indizio a favore, ma per ora non ne parlo perché non so a che punto dei libri sei arrivato.
