Va bene, ho maltrattato abbastanza i mitici Pink Floyd, passiamo ad altro.
Nel 1966 il gruppo soul delle Supremes, capitanato da Diana Ross, pubblicò il celebre singolo You Keep Me Hangin' On. Fra le numerose cover, ne esistono due più famose dell'originale: la versione rock dei Vanilla Fudge del 1967 e quella dance di Kim Wilde del 1986.

Cover del brano di Mina, Tintarella di luna ad opera dei Melt-Banana, gruppo Noise rock giapponese. O.o , sono molto indeciso su come valutarla.
Allora, chiaramente NON è un capolavoro della musica, si tratta solo di una "cover casalinga" fatta, secondo me, anche per "ammazzare" un po' il tempo, da Floor Jensen (attuale singer dei Nightwish), che riprende un brano di successo facente parte della colonna sonora del film di animazione Disney, Frozen.
Nonostante sia una canzone che implica un certo talento ed una certa abilità nel canto, e per quanto Floor sia brava in modo stupefacente, non vengono messe in risalto le sue abilità (come invece nel caso di una versione "unplugged" di Shallow, di Lady Gaga, fatta quando è stata ospite di un programma TV americano, credo); tuttavia rende bene la versatilità di questa "dea del metal", che si diverte a cimentarsi in generi che, tutto sommato, non sono proprio il suo "pane quotidiano".......
I Pink Floyd sono dei mostri sacri indiscussi e spesso e volentieri non mi piacciono, ed anzi quasi mi urtano, le cover fatte dalle loro canzoni.
Tuttavia questa che vi propongo costituisce una piacevole ed eccelsa eccezione.

Loro li conoscevo per Blurry, ma devo dire che questa loro versione del classico dei Rolling Stones non è niente male:
Dopo aver messo ieri sull'altro topic Heroes di Bowie, mi sembrava giusto mettere questa sua cover degli Hollywood Vampires. E devo dire che Johnny Depp non se la cava niente male.
Il primo album degli Hollywood Vampire, al secolo Jhonny Depp Alice Cooper e Joe Perry, era tutto composto da cover di brani più o meno famosi, credo che abbiano sfornato qualche inedito solo con il secondo..... Ho visto qualche filmato live su youtube e non sono affatto male neppure dal vivo. Avrebbero dovuto fare un concerto l'anno scorso in Italia, ma come tutti gli altri è stato cancellato.....
Ieri a Sanremo era la serata cover. Mi ha colpito molto la cover dei Maneskin e Manuel Agnelli di Amandoti dei CCCP.
Su youtube c'è solo l'audio, comunque eccolo...
