Io i film li ho trovati assolutamente insulsi, se paragonati alla saga cartacea.
Come piacere di lettura il mio libro preferito è Il prigioniero di Azkaban, mentre penso che come qualità stilistica di scrittura della Rowling l'apice sia Il principe mezzosangue.

Le falle esistono e sicuramente anche le incongruenze ma non esistono in tutti i romanzi di formazione e nelle fiabe (che proprio come Harry Potter presentano elementi assolutamente poco da bambini)? Ed è proprio a questo repertorio che attinge la saga potteriana quindi secondo me si tratta di difetti ma fino a un certo punto perché poi sublimano nel citazionismo.
E' sempre un dispiacere che quando tutti i lupi dovrebbero sollevarsi, un posto possa rimanere vuoto.

La sopravvalutazione è riferita anche in relazione alla sua enorme fama.
Per esempio, ho sentito dire peste e corna della Spada della Verità, critiche ben peggiori di quelle a HP (al punto che ho evitato di leggerla e per curiosità ho visto solo la serie tv, brutta fra l'altro), ma l'opera di Goodkind è molto meno famosa di quella della Rowling.

Pare che la Warner Bros sita pensando ad una serie tv basata sui libri della saga, da trasmettere su HBO Max. Per ora comunque si parla solo di incontri con vari sceneggiatori.

Una volta tanto, non ci trovo nulla da male. I film, pur al netto della qualità molto variabile, hanno in comune il fatto di aver sofferto dell'eccessiva semplificazione delle trame dei rispettivi libri di riferimento. Bisognerà capire quanto è coinvolta la Rowling e che taglio la Warner Bros. Discovery vorrà dare allo show.
Sono d'accordo con te. Secondo me i libri si prestano bene a una serie TV che offre spazio per approfondire e mostrare molti più dettagli. Non a caso tempo fa dissi che HP è una saga che si presta a essere sfruttata sotto tantissimi punti di vista. Anche di questo va dato atto a JK Rowling, non è da tutti creare un franchise con contenuti che rilancia un genere e si presta bene a molteplici campi di esplorazione.

Dissento abbastanza, solo i film di Yeats hanno delle reali "pecche" di adattamento o cose che ancora adesso fatico a digerire. Il terzo film per me è il migliore di tutta la saga, il quarto ha fatto tutto sommato un buon lavoro nel rendere il libro più corposo e "macchinoso" (semplificando, ma comunque con una sua logica).
Son d'accordo che una serie potrà dare più spazio a parti della trama secondarie rese solo marginalmente al cinema. Certo, associare altri volti a personaggi iconici non sarà facilissimo e spero anche che preservino il più possibile quel fascino anche "artigianale" e concreto presente nei film.
Il terzo film è sicuramente quello girato meglio ma tagliare la storia dell'origine dei Malandrini imho fu un grosso errore.
Sì, infatti non sarebbe stata male una miniserie dedicata a quello. Però è chiaro che l'intento è di rinverdire tutto il franchising, solo me lo sarei aspettato un po' più in là negli anni.
Il progetto iniziale era un film basato su La maledizione dell'erede, ma si vocifera che Daniel ed Emma non fossero disposti a lavorare ancora con JKR per via delle controversie in cui è coinvolta la scrittrice.
