Intanto, come da pronostico, la Juventus ha approfittato della trasferta nerazzurra di Supercoppa per operare il sorpasso in classifica. Questa potrebbe essere la fase più complicata della stagione dell'Inter: servirà tanto sangue freddo per gestire il mese di campionato con l'asterisco, per giunta con un calendario più difficile.
Per ora stiamo gestendo l'asterisco molto bene. 
Anziché perdere ulteriori punti, l'Inter si è portata a +4 punti sulla Juventus con una partita in meno, togliendosi anche lo sfizio di vincere il Derby d'Italia.
Forse già a fine Febbraio capiremo se la Beneamata è avviata verso una cavalcata trionfale o se ci sarà di nuovo da soffrire (magari con un rientro in corsa del Milan).

Alla fine gli sforzi profusi nella marcia trionfale di campionato e supercoppa ci hanno fatto cadere sul più bello: eliminazione agli ottavi di CL contro l'Atletico Madrid, ai rigori.
Una partita storta ci può stare. Col senno di poi, abbiamo pagato il fatto di non aver vinto con almeno due gol di scarto all'andata, mettendo i madrileni a distanza di sicurezza.

La peggiore prestazione della stagione e una delle delusioni più grandi degli ultimi tre anni.
Clamorosamente insufficienti a livello tecnico, tattico, mentale. Tutti bocciati, dai big all'allenatore. Purtroppo è proprio in queste occasioni che si vede la differenza tra le grandi d'europa e le altre, e noi siamo stati a dir poco patetici. Se potessi, per punizione, dimezzerei con le mie mani il vantaggio accumulato in Campionato. Sedici punti in più a dieci giornate dal termine. Voglio proprio sapere che se ne fanno. Stagione di fatto finita a Marzo. A Marzo. Come caspita si fa dico io. Per giunta contro l'Atletico (squadra che aldilà del tradizionale schifo e della sconfitta all'andata contro di noi, veniva da una sconfitta in Liga, dove è solo quarta, e dall'eliminazione in Coppa del Re). Se la Champions è la competizione dei dettagli, mi sa che l'Inter era distratta quando è stato detto. Un po' di sorpresa c'è, dopo l'anno scorso tutta questa tensione non dovrebbe essere di casa. Diamo merito all'Atletico che è riuscito a fare quello che voleva . In Europa l'Inter è competitiva (vedo Champions scorsa) ma non abbastanza forte per poter pensare di vincere se tutti non danno il massimo. Se tradiscono lautaro e thuram sai che non puoi fidarti troppo di Sanchez e Arnautovic. Se poi hai chala come unico rigorista affidabile

I campionati li vincono solitamente le migliori difese, mentre le Coppe dei Campioni i migliori attacchi: per il campionato avere Arnautovic e Sánchez come ricambi va bene, per la CL no.

Vorrei poter condividere almeno le virgole :(
Scherzi a parte, un discorso di questo tipo può avere senso, e questo senso sarebbe comunque tutto da dimostrare (io per esempio sento puzza di retorica e provincialismo), parlando a settembre, astrattamente, genericamente, preventivamente, delle scelte della società. Con lo specifico turno in questione invece c'entra tanto quanto il rigore di Lautaro era centrato rispetto alla porta (quindi per niente).
Facciamo per favore un piccolissimo sforzo di realismo? è semplicemente fattuale che questo preciso confronto fosse tra una finalista di Champions vs una che nella scorsa Champions si è fatta sbattere fuori nel Girone; una che nel suo attuale Campionato ha un vantaggio abissale vs una che nel suo Campionato è solo quarta con diversi punti di svantaggio; una che nel 2024 aveva solo vinto (tredici consecutive?) e non subiva due reti dal 20 dicembre (Inter - Bologna in Coppa Italia), contro una che prende sberle dall'inizio della stagione. Una che all'andata aveva vinto e che al ritorno ha segnato per prima. Una che nelle partite precedenti poteva fare tutto il turnover del mondo (fossimo nella situazione della Seria A 2022 potrei anche capire) e poteva fare prima i cambi nel corso della partita.
Sorteggio fortunato? Il sorteggio fortunato lo abbiamo avuto eccome, dio santo. Da non testa di serie potevamo beccare City, Bayern, Madrid, Arsenal, Dortmund, Barcellona e Atletico. Abbiamo beccato l'Atletico, squadra di per sè mediocre (si può discutere se sia la meno forte di queste, o una delle, ma nient'altro), in uno dei suoi peggiori momenti, mentre noi siamo in uno dei nostri migliori. Quante altre volte nella sua storia l'Inter si è trovata ad affrontare un ottavo di finale di Champions League in condizioni tanto favorevoli????????????????????????????????????????? Per non parlare del fatto che le inglesi sono impegnate in un duello estenuante per la Premier, il Bayern non è mai stato così in crisi nell'ultimo decennio, il Barcellona quasi, del Dortmund siamo più forti e aldilà di questo, a guardare le partite di Campionato che ci restano sarebbe più lecito immaginare di ampliare il vantaggio più che il contrario. Non saremmo andati oltre i Quarti? A parte che non lo sapremo mai, e di certo ragionando così non si fa tanta strada, ma anche se fosse? Termineremo il Campionato a +10 anzichè +24 ?
Prima impariamo a prenderci le nostre responsabiità senza trovare scuse, prima cresceremo :)

Secondo me sottovaluti l'Atletico Madrid di Simeone, una squadra con alcune individualità prestigiose e una lunga e positiva esperienza nelle coppe europee, oltre che la storica difficoltà dell'Inter contro le squadre spagnole. Bisogna anche considerare come psicologicamente Inter e Atletico sono arrivate alla sfida: per l'Atletico, la CL significava (e significa tuttora) giocarsi, se non tutta la stagione, i 3/4 della stessa; per l'Inter "drogata" da due mesi di dominio in campionato era un dippiù (e a maggior ragione era considerata un dippiù all'inizio della stagione, partita con lo spasmodico leitmotiv della caccia alla seconda stella).
Quando c'è stato il sorteggio ero contento perché fra le squadre di prima fascia l'Atletico era fra le più abbordabili, ma non ero tranquillo, perché ritenevo che ci sarebbe stato da soffrire. Facendo turnover nella fase ai gironi l'Inter si è assunta il rischio di non qualificarsi come prima e di essere svantaggiata nel sorteggio: ben le sta! La grande fortuna c'è stata l'anno scorso: il sorteggio col Porto, una squadra ben più scarsa dell'Atletico. Eppure, paradossalmente la prestazione complessiva contro l'Atletico è stata migliore che contro il Porto: si sono vissuti attimi di terrore al ritorno in terra lusitana, e all'andata avevamo faticato di più a segnare.
È stata un'occasione sprecata? Per me sì. Se avessimo gestito con più parsimonia le forze in campionato, a costo di sacrificare in parte il vantaggio siderale su Milan e Juventus, penso che saremmo passati. È un disastro? Per me no. Il livello standard dell'Inter attuale (e in generale il livello massimo della Serie A) è ottavi/quarti di CL: se va di lusso può arrivare in semifinale o finale, ma ciò che è successo l'anno scorso è l'eccezione, non la regola. So che fuori da questo forum ci sono antiinteristi e persino alcuni interisti che sminuiscono l'ottima stagione dell'Inter per questo doloroso incidente di percorso, ma io non sono fra questi.

Diciamo che in Champions è mancato un Dzeko e , come in finale l'anno scorso, Mikytharian ci è arrivato in condizioni non ottimali. Poi, certo, un'inter così poco lucida ci ha sorpreso
Dopo l'eliminazione in Champions, l'Inter ha proseguito la marcia verso lo scudetto ma in maniera un po' meno convincente rispetto a inizio 2024: "solo" due vittorie e due pareggi. Il dubbio è se si tratti di un piccolo calo di natura psicologica o fisica: nel primo caso, andare avanti in coppa avrebbe giovato alla squadra, nel secondo sarebbe stato uno svantaggio.
Vincendo contro il Milan nel derby del 22 aprile, i nerazzurri sarebbero matematicamente campioni d'Italia. Riusciranno i nostri eroi a infliggere tale smacco ai rivali cittadini?

In queste ultime giornate sportive ho goduto per l'eliminazione del City, il passaggio del Real e l'eliminazione del Barca. Ho goduto per la vittoria del Real e la sconfitta del Barca.
