I remember the smells of those nights, my lord-perfume and sweat, melons ripe to bursting, peaches and pomegranates, nightshade and moonbloom”

Sì, l’ombra della sera (shade of the evening) si ricava da degli alberi con la corteccia nera e le foglie blu che si trovano a Qarth.
Ho visto che i francesi hanno aggiunto in una nota che "nightshade" è il nome generico con cui in inglese si indica la belladonna.

Infatti è probabile che "ombra notturna" non sia altro che una traduzione errata di "belladonna".

Da quello che capisco, anche nella versione francese hanno però tradotto in modo simile a quello italiano invece che usare il termine specifico “belladonna”.
Uhm... se è la belladonna (e se la voce originale è nightshade), io francamente la chiamerei come tale.
Inoltre, stanti le regole che ci siamo dati, se la belladonna ha a Westeros le medesime proprietà che ha nel mondo reale, nemmeno dovremmo farne la voce...

Anche se la belladonna non è inventata, io la voce la farei ugualmente. Viene citata anche in ASOS23 come uno degli ingredienti del vino del coraggio usato dagli Immacolati.
Riguardo le sue proprietà, su wikipedia scrivono che pur essendo velenosa ha anche un uso medico.
Beh, però in quel caso basta citare la belladonna (senza link) negli ingredienti di quel vino, o non ho capito bene il ragionamento?
