While addressing the subject of divergences between the HBO series and his novels, Martin dropped an announcement that though Robb’s wife Talisa has died on the show, her literary counterpart Jeyne Westerling “is still alive – and will be seen in the prologue of The Winds of Winter.”
As the point-of-view characters of his prologues and epilogues have uniformly met fatal ends, some fans were concerned that Jeyne’s presence in the prologue boded ill for her continued survival. But, Martin clarified in an interview with Zap2It, this is not necessarily the case.
“I didn’t say she was the viewpoint character,” he explained. “I said she was in the prologue.”

Mi verrebbe da pensare che Jeyne compare nel prologo, dove solitamente il POV muore. Quindi quando Jeyne ricompare sappiamo che di per certo morirà qualcuno. In quali circostanze? Un tentativo di salvataggio? Un tentativo di giustiziare i Westerling collusi? Una cosa che non c'entra un piffero?
Io penso che, se certe notizie venissero alle orecchie di una che ricorda, non sarebbe troppo entusiasta di sapere i retroscena tra Westerling e Lannister.
E' sempre un dispiacere che quando tutti i lupi dovrebbero sollevarsi, un posto possa rimanere vuoto.

Ipotesi mia: la Fratellanza, avendo Jaime come fonte di preziose informazioni, si dà da fare per liberare i vari prigionieri di guerra (dovrebbero esserci anche quelli catturati al Red Wedding che lord Frey ha avuto ordine di inviare nella capitale, se non sbaglio).
C'è anche una, secondo me non trascurabile, possibilità che ci sia un nuovo matrimonio sanguinoso nelle Riverland.
