Scherzi a parte, anche secondo me l'interpretazione classica della profezia è quella corretta: si riferisce senza dubbio a Sansa, al castello di neve e al bambolotto di Robin Pettirosso.

E se il gigante fosse Hodor? ZAN ZAN

Anch'io sono propenso a credere che la profezia si riferisse alla scena del castello di neve. So che l'ipotesi "Sansa ucciderà Petyr" è molto in voga, ma preferisco non prestarvi orecchio...preferirei che ad ammazzarlo sia Lady S, come ho detto altrove. Oltretutto Sansa si macchierebbe di assassinio, cosa frequentissima in quel mondo, ma non per questo giustificabile.

GHH refers to Sansa as a maid. LF calls her a snow maid.

In legend, Brandon the Builder had used giants to help raise Winterfell.

“The glass was locked in frames, no? Twigs are your answer. Peel them and cross them and use bark to tie them together into frames. I’ll show you.” He moved through the garden, gathering up twigs and sticks and shaking the snow from them. When he had enough, he stepped over both walls with a single long stride and squatted on his heels in the middle of the yard. Sansa came closer to watch what he was doing. His hands were deft and sure, and before long he had a crisscrossing latticework of twigs, very like the one that roofed the glass gardens of Winterfell.

Brandon the Builder used giants to help raise Winterfell. LF, whose family sigil is the head of a Titan (a giant statue), helped Sansa in raising Winterfell from snow. Arya thought that the Titan of Braavos could easily step over the Walls of Winterfell and LF literally steps over the walls of the Winterfell they are building from snow.

Winterfell is the seat of House Stark,” Sansa told her husband-to-be. “The great castle of the north.”

“It’s not so great.” The boy knelt before the gatehouse. “Look, here comes a giant to knock it down.” He stood his doll in the snow and moved it jerkily. “Tromp tromp I’m a giant, I’m a giant,” he chanted. “Ho ho ho, open your gates or I’ll mash them and smash them.” Swinging the doll by the legs, he knocked the top off one gatehouse tower and then the other.

I think the savaging of the doll is heavy with the symbolism of an attempted rape to Sansa. The giant (doll) aims for the gatehouse. I think the doll represents the man (rapist) or his manhood and the gatehouse as suggested from Ami represents the woman (victim) or her womanly parts. LF will try to rape Sansa and she will geld him and kill him.

Questo tanto per intenderci lo chiamo arrampicarsi sugli specchi, andando a leggere tutto il post escono fuori cose ancora più folli.

La butto lì allora: e se il gigante è in realtà Gregore Clagane? Un bel volo dalla porta della luna darebbe giustizia a Sandor (il Mastino) e completerebbe anche la profezia della Daenerys :"...e le montagne voleranno via nel vento come foglie morte"

Mi piace l'ipotesi Gregore la "montagna" che vola dalla porta della luna o comunque da qualsiasi luogo alto ma come può avvenire per mano di Sansa? Sono rimasta sempre meravigliata della reazione di Sansa in seguito alla fine di sua zia per mano di Ditocorto: nessuna, mai una parola, almeno una riflessione, niente. Se è vero che il suo carattere sta cambiando e lei sta diventando più intraprendente, allora siamo nella fase di immagazzinamento, per il momento, inattivo ma che a breve potrà dare i suoi frutti. Quali non so, forse la fine di Ditocorto, se non di propria mano, comunque per un suo intervento attivo?

Ho tutta una teoria al riguardo, che spiegherò in una nuova discussione da qui a breve, penso comunque che o per volontà (ovvero tradimento) di Ditocorto o per puro caso Sansa tornerà alla ribalta nei sette regni mettendo da parte il ruolo di Alayne.

Penso che la profezia sia già avverata con l'episodio del bambolotto di pezza.

La vecchietta profetizzava morti molto importanti, e in effetti:

l"uccisione" del "gigante" comporta una serie di eventi che portano, nello stesso capitolo, alla morte di Lysa detentrice del potere nella Valle di Arryn (pari grado a Lord Balon tanto per fare un paragone, o a Lord Tyrell, si tratta del detentore del potere ereditario di un ex regno) e alla spiegazione della morte di Lord Arryn (che ha portato all'inizio della storia).

Non si tratta di una profezia da poco se si è avverata.
