Elaida do Avriny a'Roihan
Allegiance: The Light, The White Tower, Power.
Title(s): Watcher of the Seals, The Flame of Tar Valon, The Amyrlin Seat, Aes Sedai.
Former Ajah: Red.
Amyrlin Seat from 998 NE. Handsome and even beautiful in a severe way and outwardly placid. She has a stern and severe looking face with something terrible in her dark eyes.
A very stern woman, she believes herself intellegent and able to see deeply. She sometimes has the fortelling. The youngest daughter of a minor House from the north of Murandy, but she is also Altaran. She doesn't like rats.
In actuality Elaida is stupid, petty, proud, distant from reality, vindictive and sadistic. Using her talent as a Foreteller, she dedicated her life to a misinterpretation. She was always jealous that Siuan Sanche was chosen Amyrlin over her, and enjoyed torturing her. She has no idea how real people live.
She was Accepted over Siuan and Moiraine, and always remembered their friendship. Her foretelling told her the Andoran Royal line was the key to the Last Battle - this would be Tigraine. She then latched onto the new Queen, Morgase, and continued to be her advisor until Rahvin turned up.
Once she thought she knew what was happening with Rand al'Thor, she pulled down Siuan Sanche, had her stilled and was raised to Amyrlin by coup. She only managed this with the (unbeknownest) help of the Black Ajah - her Keeper of the Chronicles is Alviarin. Approximately one third of all Aes Sedai are with her in the Tower: 294. Not quite as many as in Salidar.
Now as Amyrlin: she is building a palace for the Amyrlin as large as the White Tower, and ten spans higher! It was being built on top of the Warder's practice yard. She doesn't believe the Forsaken are loose! She has tried to leash and control Rand with force! She was assisting the Black Ajah in many of their plans without realising it!
She brought Toveine Gazal out of retirement to lead 51 Aes Sedai and 200 soldiers to attack the Black Tower. Her orders: To Gentle every man found and hang them on the spot. This goes against Tower law. After the screw ups with Rand, and the Black Tower, Alviarin took control of her.
In my humble opinion this is the most ignorant moron in the series, much worse than a Coplin. The only useful thing she has done was to set Seaine Herimon hunting the Black Ajah.
Barasine
Allegiance: The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
In the story told by Logain Ablar, Barasine was a part of the group that approached and aided him becoming a false Dragon. The fictitious group was headed by Javindhra.
Chisaine Nurbaya
Allegiance: The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai, da'tsang.
Elaida. She was in the Tower Escort to Rand, and was captured at Dumai's Wells and apprenticed to the Aiel. She has sworn fealty to Rand.
Covarla Baldene
Allegiance: The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Elaida. A part of the Tower Escort to Rand and among the first back to the Tower after escaping from Dumai's Wells. The highest of those who had returned. She has been an Aes Sedai for 50 years.
Innina
Allegiance: The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai, da'tsang.
Elaida. A part of the Tower Escort to Rand, she was captured at Dumai's Wells and apprenticed to Wise Ones. She has sworn fealty to Rand.
Janine Pavlara
Allegiance: The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai, da'stang.
Elaida. Young. A part of the Tower Escort to Rand, she was captured at Dumai's Wells and apprenticed to Wise Ones. She has sworn fealty to Rand.
Javindhra
Allegiance: The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
A face hard enough to hammer nails and a harsh voice. She was a member of Elaida's coup.
In the story told by Logain Ablar, Javindhra was the head of the six Aes Sedai who approached him in 996NE and gave him the option of dying on the spot or proclaiming himself. They helped him avoid Aes Sedai for a year and later sent him information on the opposing armies. The story ends with Javindhra betraying and capturing Logain.
Jenare
Allegiance: The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Elaida. A member of the expedition sent by Elaida to take the Black Tower. They were led by Toveine, and were all captured by Asha'man. She was bonded by Kajima, and is now openly disentious of Toveine.
Laigain Arnault
Allegiance: The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
A part of the Tower Escort for Rand. She died at Dumai's Wells.
Lemai
Allegiance: The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Elaida. With Desandre, Lemai was the strongest member of the expedition sent by Elaida to take the Black Tower and have now taken control of the captured Aes Sedai. They were led by Toveine, and were all captured by Asha'man. She is now openly disentious of Toveine.
Memara
Allegiance: The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Elaida. The advisor dispatched by Elaida to settle Tenobia. Elaida thinks she takes no nonsense, but subtley. She actually tried to bully Tenobia which of course didn't work.
Pevara
Allegiance: The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai, Sitter in the Hall of the Tower.
Plump and short but pretty with dark blue eyes and a ready smile. A Kandori, she is determined and tough with much courage and a core of steel. She beleives a Warder would be useful, and still likes men - a rarity amongst the Reds.
A friend of Seaine, they were novices together. She was raised to Sitter approximately 15 years ago. Seaine recruited her to help in the hunt for the Black Ajah.
Rubinde
Allegiance: The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai, Sitter in the Hall of the Tower.
Elaida. A Mayener with raven black hair and dark eyes. A forceful woman.
Sashelle
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Elaida. Her eyes are blue and her hair is in ringletts to her shoulders. A part of the Tower Escort, she was stilled when Rand escaped. She was taken to the Aiel camp in Cairhien, and given meaningful work. Damer Healed her severing, returning her to full strength. She has now sworn fealty to Rand, and now wears an Aiel necklace and braclett with her new Aiel backbone. The Wise One's believe she has suffered enough punishment so she, Irgain and Ronaille are all now free to do what they want.
Silviana
Title(s): Mistress of Novices, Aes Sedai.
Elaida. Stocky and square faced, she became the Mistress of Novices under Elaida.
Tarna Feir
Allegiance: The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Elaida. Neat pale yellow hair and cold sharp blue eyes. A wilder, she was unable to channel while her eyes were open. Her block was broken by Galina Casban who knew her Ajah before herself (possibly Black Ajah - although I don't think so). She was the Tower Embassy to Salidar.
Tesien Jorhald
Allegiance: The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
When Pevara was young, Tesien punished her for having a friend outside the Red Ajah.
Teslyn Baradon
Allegiance: The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai, Former Sitter in the Hall of the Tower, Tessi.
Elaida. A sever and scrawny Illianer with bony fingers who looks perpetually angry. She was a part of Elaida's Coup and has a perminant scowl.
She was a Sitter in the Hall of the Tower for 15 years, until she was ordered to resign her seat by Elaida and then she and Joline were sent to Ebou Dar as an Embassy to Tylin.
She isn't happy with Elaida, and will do much to upset her. When she realised Joline intended to disrupt the plans of Elayne and Nynaeve, Teslyn dosed her with Forkroot and sent a warning to Mat. She was captured by the invading Seanchan and made damane, with the new name of Tessi. She was last seen escaping from Ebou Dar with Mat.
Toveine Gazal
Allegiance: The Light, The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai, Former Sitter in the Hall of the Tower.
Elaida. Short and slightly plump. She is pretty with smooth coppery skin and long dark hair. Her dark eyes are sharp.
She was a Sitter in the Hall of the Tower for 15 years, until she resigned and went to do penance on a farm. She worked for 20 years on a farm in the Black Hills owned by Jara Doweel. She likes pretty boys, eager and grateful. When looking at men, she only thinks of whether they are pretty or not.
Elaida recalled her to lead the 50 Aes Sedai and 200 Guardsmen against the Black Tower. All 51 Aes Sedai were captured by the Asha'man over two days with most or all being bonded by someone. Toveine was bonded by Logain along with Gabrelle. The bond does not allow them to disobey Logain, even to a word.
The other Aes Sedai in the group decided Toveine was to blame for being captured and she was beaten with belts, fists and feet on the first night after being captured, until Logain put a stop to it and had her Healed. Toveine completely underestimates the ability of others, thinking they will always do as she hopes.
Vayelle Kamsa
Allegiance: The Red Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai, da'tsang.
Elaida. A part of the Tower Escort to Rand, she was captured at Dumai's Wells and apprenticed to Wise Ones. She has sworn fealty to Rand.
The Yellow Ajah - To Heal
Adaya
Allegiance: The Gray Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai, Sitter in the Hall of the Tower.
Elaida. A Taraboner, her light brown hair is well brushed and hangs halfway down her back.
Ananda
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Slender with black hair to her waist. She died in the Tower Coup.
Annharid
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Egwene. She was sent to the Tower with 9 others to spread the story of the Red Ajah's manupulation of Logain. All ten were found out by Seaine and Pevara and are now assisting with the hunt for the Black Ajah.
Berenicia Morsad
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.

Egwene. A Shienaran and in the Salidar Embassy.
Celestin
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Egwene. She was sent to the Tower by Sheriam's group with 9 others to spread the story of the Red Ajah's manupulation of Logain. All ten were found out by Seaine and Pevara and are now assisting with the hunt for the Black Ajah.
Corele Hovian
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Boy slim and pretty Murandian with thick black eyebrows and a mass of raven black glossy hair. Her eyes are blue and she has an upturned nose. She is always neatly dressed and is usually in good humour, with sparkling eyes, yet can be as arrogant as any Yellow. She is a companion of Cadsuane. She has now bonded Damer Flinn.
Dagdara Finchey
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Egwene. As wide and tall as any man with greying hair and a round face. She knows about double what any other Yellow does.
Desandre
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Elaida. Willowy. With Lemai, she was the strongest member of the expedition sent by Elaida to take the Black Tower and have now taken control of the captured Aes Sedai. They were led by Toveine, and were all captured by Asha'man.
Doesine
Allegiance: The Light, The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai, Sitter in the Hall of the Tower.
Elaida. Slim, elegant and pretty - looks a bit like a pretty boy. From Cairhien, she is the daughter of a cutler but rarely has the accent except when stressed. She ran away three times as a novice, and swears alot, although when she is serious she speaks reverently. A sister of considerable repute.
She, Yukiri and Saerin discovered Seaine and Pevara's investigation and have now joined the hunt, the first captured being Talene.
Edesina Azzedin
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Egwene. Slender, with black hair to her waist. She was in Salidar, and was sent with Afara and Guisin to Tarabon to try to bring order. Min predicted she would be captured by the Seanchan, made damane, and then escape. She was last seen as a damane, escaping Ebou Dar with Mat.
Farellien
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Elaida.
Larissa Lyndel
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Egwene. Plain and bony.
Narenwin Barda
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Elaida. A thin little woman who is very quiet, but not particularly serene. A kind woman who lets children bring their pets to the White Tower to be Healed once a week. She is the head of Yellow Eyes and Ears in the Tower who employed Ronde Macura.
Nisao Dachen
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Egwene. Short and diminutive with hard eyes. She was studying diseases of the mind. In this way, she became involved with Myrelle and Lan. When Egwene found out Nisao was forced to swear fealty to her and is now continually frowning. Her Warder is Sarin Hoigan.
Pritalle Nerbaijan
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Elaida. A green eyed Saldaean.
Romanda
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai, Sitter in the Hall of the Tower in exile.
Egwene. A solid and handsome woman with dark eyes and pale grey hair, she may be as old as Cadsuane. She rarely smiles and is the eldest sitter. She has been a Sitter for many years. When Tamra Ospenya became Amyrlin, she retired, only returning when the Tower split hoping to become Amyrlin.
Ryma Galfrey
Allegiance: The Light, The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai, damane, Pura.
Aes Sedai who was captured at Falme and is now damane. Her new name is Pura. She had very harsh training as a damane from Tiasa, and is now a true damane.
Salita Toranes
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedi, Sitter in the Hall of the Tower in exile.
Egwene. Dark skinned Tairen.
Samitsu Tamagowa
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.
Slim and pretty and petulant with a commanding air and tiny silver bells in her hair. The best living healer, perhaps one of the best of the Age, she alone can heal almost as well as a linked circle. A companion of Cadsuane, she helped heal Rand from Padan Fain. Her Warder is Roshan.
Sedore
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai, Sitter in the Hall of the Tower.
Elaida. She has a round face and is very arrogant. Her elegance is cold. She has previously done penance under Elaida.
Shanelle
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai.

Elaida. A slightly plump, somewhat flighty member of Elaida's coup. She never quite manages outward calm. After being made an example by Elaida, she was reduced to Accepted, and ran away from the Tower.
Suana Dragand
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.
Title(s): Aes Sedai, Sitter in the Hall of the Tower, Head of the Yellow Ajah.
Elaida. When the Tower split, she picked herself to be raised to the Hall. This autocratic decision is unusual and it is also unusual given that she had recently stepped down from forty years in the Hall. She has been talking in corners with Ferane Neheran.
Therva Maresis
Allegiance: Yellow Ajah.

Egwene. Slender with a long nose.
Zenare Ghodar
Allegiance: The Yellow Ajah.

el'Nynaeve Mandragoran
Allegiance: The Light, Egwene, Lan.
Title(s): Former Wisdom of Emonds Field, Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah, Mashiara, Maryim, Nana.
Favorite Saying: Sometimes it would be good to just hit people until they see reason.
26 years old. Slender and short, young and pretty. She has dark colouring with a dark braid pulled over her shoulder. Very strong willed, she always does what she believes must be done, never backing down from her duty.
She is regularly giving over to fits of temper and insults. Prickly at best, unbearable at worst. She hates Moiraine and blames her for everything that has occurred, hating her as much as Seanchan, but didn't hide her hate as well as she thinks. She fell in love with Lan soon after leaving the Two Rivers, but he continually put her off. She is brave to the point of madness, but believes herself a coward.
An only child, Nynaeve's father treated her like the son he never had, teaching her woodcraft and the like. Nynaeve was orphaned around the age of 14, and soon after was taken apprentice by Doral Barran, the Emond's Field Wisdom. When Doral died, Nynaeve became the Wisdom, perhaps the youngest ever.
She left the Two Rivers on the heels of Moiraine and the group, tracking them to Baerlon with the intention of bringing back the Emond's Field folk. As she was unable to do this she was determined to keep them safe.
She was soon informed that she was a wilder, having learnt to channel herself. The first time she channeled was to cure Egwene of breakbone fever in 990 NE, and continued to make miraculous cures thereafter. When learning unknowingly to channel, she learned to tell the weather. This talent has changed to also predict storms of a social nature. She is a quick learner, as quick as Rand, and is a great believer in justice.
She went to the White Tower with Egwene, and became an Accepted immediately. Later, Liandrin led her, Egwene, Elayne and Min to Falme, where she was to be made damane. Nynaeve and Elayne avoided capture, and later helped Egwene and Min escape. They got back to the White Tower just in time to go hunting the Black Ajah.
Nynaeve, Egwene and Elayne went to Tear on the chase, were captured by Liandrin and company and were rescued by Mat and Juilin. Nynaeve then left with Elayne, chasing the Black Ajah to Tanchico. While in Tanchico, Nynaeve captured Moghedian only to have her escape.
After helping the Panarch regain power, Nynaeve left with Elayne moving into Amadicia where they joined a traveling menagerie. This took them to Ghealdan where they left for Salidar with the remaining Shienarans, who until that time had stayed with Masema.
On a jaunt to Tel'aran'rhiod, Nynaeve managed to capture Moghedian using an a'dam. On the same jaunt and while dragging Moghedian around she helped Rand kill Rahvin by scorching him unexpectedly, and was very nearly killed herself. Elayne made an a'dam that looks like a necklace and had "Marigan" as a servant, while secretly trying to wring lost secrets from the Age of Legends out of her.
With Siuan, Leane and Logain around she decided to find out how to Heal them of severing and was immediately ostracised by the Yellow Ajah for foolish endeavours. She Healed Logain and then Siuan and Leane. However Logain was back to full strength while Siuan and Leane are less than half their strength. She has a special way of Healing using Fire and Earth where conventional healing only uses Air, Water and Spirit.
She went to Ebou Dar and found the Bowl of Winds with Elayne. They made a terribly one sided bargain with the Sea Folk, captured a Black Sister and apologised to Mat for their behaviour, offering themselves for his protection, Nynaeve grinding her teeth. Also, Lan and Nynaeve finally married.
After leaving Ebou Dar, she was a member of the circle that fixed the weather through the bowl. When the Seanchan attacked the farm owned by the Kin, she and Elayne led the Kin, the Sea Folk and Aes Sedai to Caemlyn.
Nynaeve is a terrible cook and a terrible sewer. At least she admits about the sewing. She believes anything short of death must be Healable.
Becoming very strong in the One Power, she is as strong as Moghedien and not yet at full strength. Her father died some years earlier, but always treated her as the son he never had. Her mother was Elnore.

Affascinante e anche bella nella sua durezza e apparentemente tranquilla. Ha uno sguardo rigido e severo con qualcosa di terribile nei suoi occhi neri. Una donna molto rigida, si ritiene intelligente e capace di vedere le cose in profondità. Qualche volta è dotata della capacità di vedere il futuro. La più giovane figlia di una casata minore del nord del Murandy, ma lei è anche dell’Altara. Non le piacciono i topi. In realtà Elaida è stupida, insignificante, orgogliosa, troppo lontana dalla realtà, vendicativa e sadica. Usando il suo talento di preveggenza, ha dedicato la sua vita alle interpretazioni errate. Le sue trecce, dal colore del miele, sono acconciate secondo lo stile tarabonese, arrivando a sfiorarle le spalle. È un palmo più alta di Moiraine, e sembra sempre insoddisfatta e nervosa. Liandrin ha pochi amici, nessuno al di fuori dell’Ajah Rossa. Secondo lei non sembra che ci sia una grossa differenza fra gli uomini e i trolloc. Una delle cose che odia di più negli uomini è quando la guardano, specialmente con lussuria.

Ha 26 anni. Magra e bassa, giovane e carina. È di carnagione scura, con una treccia nera che le scende dietro le spalle. Dalla volontà molto forte, fa sempre ciò che crede debba essere fatto, senza indietreggiare mai davanti al suo dovere. Esce regolarmente fuori dei gangheri e diventa offensiva. Pungente nei suoi momenti migliori, insopportabile in quelli peggiori. Odia Moiraine, e la biasima per tutto quello che è accaduto, e la odia tanto quanto odia i Seanchan, ma non nasconde i suoi sentimenti come non nasconde ciò che pensa. Si è innamorata di Lan subito dopo aver lasciato i Fiumi Gemelli, ma lui ha sempre rifiutato il suo amore. È coraggiosa fino all’incoscienza, ma si reputa una codarda. Figlia unica, suo padre l’ha allevata come il figlio che non ha mai avuto, insegnandole la conoscenza e l’amore per i boschi. Nynaeve è rimasta orfana verso i 14 anni, e subito dopo è stata presa come apprendista da Doral Barran, la Sapiente di Emond’s Field. Quando Doral è morta, Nynaeve è divenuta la Sapiente, forse la più giovane di sempre. Ha lasciato i Fiumi Gemelli stando alle calcagna di Moiraine e del suo gruppo, seguendone le tracce fino a Baerlon, con l’intenzione di riportare indietro i ragazzi di Emond’s Field. Essendo impossibilitata a farlo, ha deciso di fare del suo meglio per proteggerli. È stata subito informata di essere una “selvatica”, avendo imparato ad incanalare da sola. La prima volta che ha incanalato è stato per guarire Egwene dalla Febbre delle ossa nel 990 N.E., e in seguito ha continuato a fare guarigioni miracolose. Quando ha imparato inconsapevolmente ad incanalare, ha imparato a prevedere il tempo. in seguito questo talento è mutato, consentendole di prevedere anche tempeste di natura sociale. È molto rapida ad imparare, tanto quanto Rand, ed ha una fortissima fede nella giustizia.

Si è recata alla Torre Bianca insieme ad Egwene, ed è divenuta immediatamente un’Ammessa. In seguito Liandrin ha condotto lei, Egwene, Elayne e Min a Falme, per farla diventare una damane. Nynaeve ed Elayne sono riuscite ad evitare la cattura, ed in seguito hanno aiutato Egwene e Min a fuggire.

Nynaeve è una cuoca terribile e una sarta inetta. Alla fine ha ammesso la sua incapacità di cucire. Crede che qualsiasi cosa inferiore alla morte possa essere guarita. È diventata molto forte nell’Unico Potere, tanto quanto Moghedien, e non ha ancora raggiunto il culmine delle sue possibilità.
Suo padre è morto qualche anno fa, ma l’ha sempre trattata come il figlio che non ha mai avuto. Sua madre si chiamava Elnore.

Ho ripreso in mano la vecchia traduzione dell'elenco postato da Gil Galad e ho fatto alcune modifiche. Non ho finito di risistemare il brano, ed è abbastanza evidente il punto in cui sono arrivata perché nella nuova versione ho usato il tag spoiler che prima non era disponibile.
A parte questa modifica "di aspetto", ho tradotto alcune frasi che prima avevo ignorato, limitandomi ad inserire dei puntini di sospensione. Quando avrò tempo porterò ancora avanti questo lavoro.
