Un breve intervento per segnalare che negli ultimi giorni Martin ha letto un nuovo capitolo di AFfC: si dovrebbe trattare del secondo di Jaime (in realtà non è del tutto detto, dato che, a quel che ho capito, in origine si trattava di un capitolo di Cersei, e quindi il nostro ogni tanto varia i pdv).
A scanso di equivoci: quello che posto io è solo un RIASSUNTO, non il capitolo originale.

Jaime 2
Jaime is watching Tywin take his last leave of King's landing. He's checking out all the other knights around, such as Lord Brax, Lord Baneford, and Lord Jast. Jaime thinks the rumors of Lord Jast's death are not too far off the mark given how bad Jast appears. Jaime feels out of place in white among all the red. The Queen was not present.
Jaime feels uncomfortable around his uncle Kevan. Kevan mentions rumors of someone (Bonderrian?) murdering Freys and that Sandor has turned outlaw. Kevan describes raiders led by a huge man wearing a hounds head helm who killed a dozen men and raped a twelve year old girl. (I don't know where this took place, however) Jaime wonders if Cersei would kill Kevan, he didn't think so, but afterall, he was wrong about Tyrion.
Kevan takes off and Lancel comes over and they exchange barbs about doing one's duty in bed. Jaime thinks that Tyrion lied about Lancel and Cersei and that Cersei would sooner have Robert's corpse between her legs.
Troop movements - 1/3 of Tyrell forces headed for the reach, 1/3 to storms end with Tyrell himself joining after Margaery's wedding. Tywin's host were awaiting passage to Dragonstone. Cersei had taken Tommen out to praise the men.
Jaime goes to find Cersei and does - she is in her cups. She who once scorned Robert for the same, Jaime thinks. Cersei, Lord Merriweather's wife, and Tommen are hearing lessons from Pycelle. Pycelle stammers out very nervously that a bird had arrived and Lollys delivered a healthy son. Pycelle eventually gets out that the child's name was not Lolly's doing. Bronn named her...
And Tommen blurts out that Bronn named the baby "Tyrion"
Jaime makes a crack about how they've been looking for Tyrion all this time and here he was hiding in Lollys. They all began to make fun of Tyrion and his appearance. They discussed gifts but Jaime realizes Cersei was capable of killing the baby.
Now it's just Cersei and Jaime. They discuss Cersei's strategy in taking on Lord Merriweather's wife as a spy for Margaery. Cersei grumbles about the upcoming wedding but Jaime thinks it is justified based on what happened at Joffrey's. (hee)
There was a plan to have a small wedding after what happened last time. To take place at the Red Keep Sept with Margaery's mother making the food arrangements.
There was a huge discussion at this point over cloaks and I believe Jaime is having a flashback at this point. Cersei wanted Tommen to use the cloak that her father used to marry her mother. The Queen of Thorns observed that Tommen was a Baratheon, not a Lannister. Cersei agreed to using a Baratheon cloak not to draw attention to the rumors of Tommen's parentage. The biggest issue revolved around sleeping arrangements. Cersei wanted Margaery to remain there in the maiden vault. The QoT wanted Tommen and Margaery to be bedmates. They compromised on Margaery and Tommen spending their wedding night together.
Back to the present - Cersei is ranting about Margaery not even being a maid. Cersei and Jaime exchange barbs and Cersei eventually throws a wine cup at Jaime to get him to leave (hee)
Jaime reflects that Damian was made Castellan and Davon Warden of the West. It should have gone to the uncle. No word on Tommen's hand. Cersei was convinced that Tyrion was hiding in the Tower of the Hand. Search parties found hundreds of tunnels and secret passageways. It was a perilous search, as they had to use children for parts of it and several got stuck. Some died. Cersei talked about burning the tower and Jaime told her she'd enjoy the flames as Aerys did.
The wedding was ten days later and Margaery was beautiful, Tommen plump little kid. Margaery wore the same gown she did with Joffrey. She sank to her knees so Tommen could cloak her. The supper was a modest seven courses with no singers. No swords allowed inside the hall, heavily guarded. Every offering was tasted before Tommen ate and a guy with twenty some poison antidotes sat back in the shadows. Cersei and Jaime were both uncomfortable during the meal. Cersei was really worried Tyrion was going to get Tommen. She also wanted Jaime inside the bed chamber on the wedding night.
The newlyweds danced and Jaime asked Cersei to dance. She gave him the brush off. She talked about a different sort of candle to celebrate the wedding.
Cersei burns the Tower of the Hand. Fifty pots of Pyromancer's Piss had been placed inside along with most of Tyrion's possessions. Jaime reflects how Cersei is beautiful, crying from grief or ecstasy (he cannot tell). Jaime recalls that relations between Aerys and his wife improved in that after Aerys burned someone, Queen Rayella would have a visitor that night. (At this point someone's g&*d@%#! cellphone rang and THEY TOOK THE CALL during the reading so I don't have all of it but...) Jaime heard Rayella saying that Aerys was hurting her. Then the last time Jaime saw Rayella was when she was taken down a road toward highgarden. Then Aerys was mad, unkempt with nine inch nail claws. No swords then but the Kingsguard and ofcourse the iron throne.
Tommen was scared of the Tower burning and Margaery made him laugh. Jaime thinks he's going to get laid. Cersei orders Jaime to escort the happy couple to their bedchamber and says that Ser Osmond will see her safe to hers. (Hee!)

Jaime si sente a disagio vicino a suo zio Kevan. Kevan menziona voci secondo cui qualcuno (Dondarrion?) starebbe uccidendo i Frey e che Sandor è diventato un fuorilegge. Kevan descrive predoni guidati da un grosso uomo con addosso un elmo a forma di testa di cane, che ha ucciso un dozzina di uomini e violentato una ragazza di dodici anni. (Nonso dove questo si svolga, comunque) Jaime si chiede se Cersei ucciderebbe Kevan, non lo pensa, ma dopotutto si era sbagliato su Tyrion.
Kevan se ne va ed entra Lancel; loro si scambiano battute sul fare il proprio dovere a letto. Jaime pensa che Tyrion abbia mentito su Lancel e Cersei e che Cersei avrebbe preferito avere tra le proprie gambe il cadavere di Robert.
Movimenti di truppe – 1/3 delle forze Tyrell si sta dirigendo verso l’Altopiano, 1/3 verso Capo Tempesta; lo stesso Tyrell li raggiungerà dopo il matrimonio di Margaery. L’esercito di Tywin sta aspettando di andare alla Roccia del Drago. Cersei ha portato fuori Tommen per parlare con gli uomini.
Jaime va a cercare Cersei e la trova – si sta ubriacando. Lei che un tempo rimproverava Robert per la stessa cosa, pensa Jaime. Cersei, la moglie di lord Merryweather, e Tommen stanno ascoltando le novità da Pycelle. Pycelle tira fuori molto nervosamente che è arrivato un uccello, recando la notizia che Lollys ha partorito un figlio sano. Pycelle poi tira fuori che il nome del bambino non è opera di Lollys. Bronn l’ha chiamato…
E Tommen sputa fuori che Bronn ha chiamato il bambino “Tyrion”.
Jaime scherza dicendo che loro hanno cercato TYrion per tutto questo tempo ed ecco che lui si stava nascondendo dentro Lollys. Cominciano tutti a prendere il giro Tyrion ed il suo aspetto. Discutono di regali, ma Jaime si rende conto che Cersei sarebbe capace di uccidere il bambino.
Ora ci sono solo Cersei e Jaime. Discutono la strategia di Cersei nel prendere la moglie di lord Merryweather come spia di Margaery. Cersei si lamenta dell’imminente matrimonio, ma Jaime pensa che sia giustificato visto quello che è successo a quello di Joffrey. (hee)
C’è un piano per fare un piccolo matrimonio, dopo ciò che è successo la volta scorsa. Si terrà al Tempio della Fortezza Rossa, e la madre di Margaery si occuperà del cibo.
C’è una lunga discussione a questo punto sui mantelli, e credo che sia stato un flashback di Jaime. Cersei voleva che Tommen usasse il mantello che aveva usato suo padre per sposare sua madre. La Regina di Spine ha osservato che Tommen è un Baratheon, non un Lannister. Cersei è d’accordo di usare un mantello Baratheon per non attirare attenzione sulle voci sui genitori di Tommen. La discussione più grande si è svolto sulla disposizione per dormire. Cersei voleva che Margaery rimanesse lì, nell’edificio delle vergini. La Regina di Spine voleva che Tommen e Margery dormissero insieme. Hanno Raggiunto un compromesso sul fatto che Margaery e Tommen passeranno insieme la notte di nozze.
Di nuovo al presente – Cersei sta blaterando sul fatto che Margaerynon è neanche vergine. Cersei e Jaime si stuzzicano e Cersei infine getta una coppa di vino a Jaime per costringerlo ad andare via (hee)
Jaime riflette sul fattoche Damion è stato nominato Castellano e Daven Protettore dell’Ovest. Queste cariche sarebbero dovute andare allo zio. Nessuna menzione del Primo Cavaliere di Tommen. Cersei era convinta che Tyrion si stesse nascondendo nella Torre del Primo Cavaliere. Gruppi di ricerca hanno trovato centinai di tunnel e passaggi segreti. E’ stata una ricerca pericolosa, dato che hanno usato bambini per parti di essa e molti sono stati bloccati. Alcuni sono morti. Cersei ha parlato di bruciare la torre e Jaime le ha detto che si divertirebbe con le fiamme, come faceva Aerys.
Il matrimonio è dieci giorni dopo e Margaery è molto bella, Tommen un ragazzino grassottello. Margaery veste lo stesso abito che aveva con Joffrey. Si inginocchia in modo che Tommen possa metterle il mantello sulle spalle. La cena consiste in sette portate modeste senza cantanti. Nessuna spada è autorizzata ad entrare nella sala, molto sorvegliata. Ogni piatto viene assaggiato prima che Tommen lo mangi e un ragazzo con qualcosa come venti antidoti anti-veleno siede nell’ombra. Cersei e Jaime sono entrambi a disagio durante il pasto. Cersei è veramente preoccupata che Tyrion stia andando a prendere Tommen. Vuole anche che Jaime stia dentro la camera da letto durante la prima notte di nozze.
Gli sposini danzano e Jaime invita Cersei a danzare. Lei lo manda via. Lei parla di un differente tuipo di candela per celebrare il matrimonio.
Cersei brucia la Torre del Primo Cavaliere. Cinquanta ampolle di Piscio di Piromante sono stati piazzati dentro, insieme a molti dei possedimenti di Tyrion. Jaime riflette su quanto Cersei sia bella, piangendo di dolore o estasi (lui non sa dirlo). Jaime riporta alla mente che il rapporto tra Aerys e sua moglie era entrato in crisi dopo che Aerys aveva bruciato qualcuno; la regina Rhaella aveva avuto un visitatore quella notte. (a questo punto lo stramaledetto cellulare di qualcuno ha suonato e LORO HANNO PRESO LA CHIAMATA durante la lettura, così non ho tutto su questo punto, ma…) Jaime ha sentito Rhaella dire che Aerys la stava picchiando. Poi, l’ultima volta che Jaime ha visto Rhaella è stato quando lei è stata portata lungo una strada verso Alto Giardino. Poi Aerys è impazzito, trascurato con unghie lunghe nove dita. Nessuna spada, allora, tranne la Guardia Reale e naturalmente il Trono di Spade.
Tommen si è spaventato davanti all’incendio della Torre e Margaery lo ha fatto ridere. Jaime pensa che lui verrà comandato a bacchetta. Cersei ordine a Jaime di scoertare la coppia felice alla loro camera da letto e dice che ser Osmund controllerà la sua sicurezza. (Hee!)

Fantastico il tocco di classe di Bronn che chiama il figlio di Lollys "Tyrion". nel capitolo di Cersei lei si era indignata perchè la madre di Lollys aveva proposto di chiamarlo "Tywin" in onore del defunto Lord e le aveva ingiunto di non farlo!

Una delle cose interessanti di questo capitolo, a mio avviso, è la divisione di ruoli nella casa Lannister. Quindi evidentemente Cersei è la Lady di Castel Granito, Damion il castellano e Daven il Protettore dell'Ovest... e Kevan nulla. Vedremo delle scintille!

Non per mano dei Lannister ma per mano dei Tyrell. L'unico Lannister che rimarrà ad Approdo del Re sarà Jaime.
